Have You Ever Asked God to Use You, Then Ignored the Opportunity He Gave

Have you ever thought about this...

Have you ever prayed, “Lord, use me”? Have you ever asked God to give you an opportunity to serve Him, help someone, or be a blessing to others? But when the opportunity finally came, did you hesitate, make excuses, or simply ignore it?

Many of us pray that God would use our lives for His glory. We ask Him for opportunities to serve, to share His Word, to encourage someone, or to make a difference. But sometimes, when God gives us the opportunity we prayed for, we become afraid, too busy, too comfortable, or too concerned about what other people might think.

Sometimes we expect God to give us a big opportunity before we are willing to serve Him. We think being used by God means doing something great or being seen by many people. But often, God gives us simple opportunities right in front of us. It could be encouraging a friend, helping someone who is struggling, inviting someone to church, sharing God's Word, or simply showing Christ's love through our actions.

The question is not always, “Lord, when will You use me?” Sometimes, the question should be, “Lord, am I willing to be used when You give me the opportunity?”
Galatians 6:10 (KJV) tells us,
"As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."

This reminds us that opportunities are something we should take seriously. When God places someone in our path or gives us a chance to do good, we should not immediately look for an excuse. That opportunity may be exactly what we prayed for.

We may never know how one simple act of obedience can affect another person's life. A kind word, a helping hand, a prayer, or an invitation may be small to us, but God can use those things for His purpose.

So the next time you pray, “Lord, use me,” don't forget to be ready when He gives you an opportunity. Don't wait for something big. Start with what God has already placed in front of you.

God doesn't always call us to do something extraordinary. Sometimes, He simply asks us to be faithful with the opportunity He has already given.

Have you ever wondered, why God feels distant while your Bible stays closed

Have you ever wondered...
Have you ever felt like God is silent? Have you ever prayed, but it seemed like no one was listening? Have you ever asked yourself why your relationship with God doesn't feel as close as it used to?

Many of us have experienced seasons where God feels distant. During those times, we often ask God to speak to us, guide us, or give us peace. But sometimes, we forget that God has already spoken through His Word. We long to hear His voice, yet our Bible remains closed day after day.

Sometimes, instead of spending time in Scripture, we spend hours scrolling through social media, watching videos, or doing other things that leave little room for God. We expect spiritual growth without feeding our spirit. We want God's direction, but we neglect the very place where He reveals His will. As a result, we may feel spiritually dry, not because God has moved away, but because we've drifted from His Word.

2 Timothy 3:16–17 (KJV) tells us,
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

God's Word is more than just a book, it is His truth, His wisdom, and His guidance for our daily lives. When we read the Bible, we learn His character, understand His promises, and grow in our relationship with Him. The more we seek Him through His Word, the more we recognize His voice in our lives.

If God feels distant today, perhaps the first step isn't asking Him to speak louder, it's opening the Bible He has already given us. Make time to read His Word, not out of obligation, but because you desire to know Him more. The God who inspired the Scriptures is still speaking to those who are willing to listen.

Have you ever realized, that waiting is also part of God's plan

Have you ever realized...
Have you ever wondered why God hasn't answered your prayer yet? Have you ever asked yourself why the things you've been praying for still haven't happened? Have you ever felt like everyone else is moving forward while you're still waiting?

Many of us experience seasons of waiting. We wait for God's answers, His direction, His provision, or the breakthrough we've been praying for. During those moments, it's easy to feel discouraged or think that God has forgotten us. But just because God seems silent doesn't mean He isn't working.

Sometimes, instead of trusting God's timing, we try to make things happen on our own. We become impatient, compare ourselves with others, and allow doubt to replace our faith. We forget that God sees the whole picture while we only see a small part of it. What feels like a delay to us is often God's way of preparing us for something better.

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) tells us,
"But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

This verse reminds us that waiting on God is never a waste of time. While we are waiting for God to work around us, He is also working within us. He is strengthening our faith, teaching us patience, and preparing us for His perfect plan. God's timing is always better than our own.

Waiting is not easy, but it is part of God's plan. Every season of waiting has a purpose, even when we don't understand it. Instead of asking, "Lord, why am I still waiting?" let us ask, "Lord, what do You want to teach me while I wait?" Trust that God's timing is always perfect, because the One who holds your future has never been late.

Have you ever thought about this every day - Did I glorify God in everything that I do...

Have you ever thought...
If I do these things, will God be glorified? If I go to this place, will God be glorified? If I bond with these people, will God be glorified?

Well, many of us have the same mindset every day, asking ourselves whether we are glorifying God. But sometimes we forget whether we're still glorifying God every day, or we're just thinking of our own will or basing it on our comfort.

Sometimes, instead of doing God's will, we just follow our will; instead of having a good fellowship with others or with our fellow Christians, we just have a bad fellowship with others, full of gossip, issues, and other bad habits, creating an ungodly fellowship.

As we can see, in these scenarios, many of us will relate to this; no one is exempt from these scenarios, from Youth to Older Generations. So it means, sometimes, we're forgetting to remember that in every action, we should glorify God.

Matthew 5:16 tells us, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven," meaning that if we are doing good things that can glorify God, we can also be a light for others, especially for those people who are in darkness.

So glorifying God isn't as easy as it is; it may be simple, but not easy. But we can still choose to glorify God every day in our lives, even when we are at school, in the office, with our family or friends, and in the church. Glorifying God is not optional; we should glorify Him for a reason, not because it is required, but because it is God's will.
