For almost three (3) decades, the brethren of Victoria Homes SDA Church dreamed of having its own church. Through the invaluable help of our volunteer architect, engineers, and designer, the building plan of the church was conceptualized after the lot was purchased.

At the outset, the church had no sufficient funds to finish the church at once. But the brethren have faith that this will be accomplished by phases as funds come. What is important is that the structure will be built according to plan that will meet the needs of the church.

We fervently hope and pray that God will send His channels of blessing so that this edifice will be completed soon.

We're thankful for the Central Luzon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists for granting us loan to purchase steel bars from Steel Asia, pending the waiting time for the freeze order of the church's bank account to be lifted. As promised, we would return the money loaned soon.

The steel bars were delivered successfully and the placement of the steel bars at the first three (3) trenches (at the left side facing the property from the street) to serve as footing has already commenced.

We praise God that our prayer to establish a church building has already started after almost twenty-eight (28) years. Thank you for your prayers and financial support!

Hi, everyone! It took sometime for us to update you with the progress of the construction. The work at the site has been stopped for a few weeks until the requirements for church's bank account have been complied. But now the work has already resumed.

A few weeks ago, we hired a geodetic engineer to conduct a relocation survey to determine the metes and bounds of the property. It appeared that there was an encroachment at the right side of the property (when you're facing the lot from the street). We praise God that the adjacent owners were understanding of the situation and cooperative to rectify the boundary.

We would like to share to you also that the lot already has its own Meralco and Maynilad connection. Prior to the utility installation, the said adjacent owners accommodated us to connect to their electric and water connection. Stay tuned for our further updates!

The excavation has been ongoing in the past week. While the soil from the excavation were brought to the nearby vacant lot.

Engr. Rudy Alcantara, who is a Professional Electrical Engineer, visited the site. He advised us that it is better to engage the services of a Meralco contractor to speedily process the installation of the electric connection.

Providentially on the day we engaged the services of the contractor, the personnel were already in Victoria Homes. That's why the materials needed were immediately installed in the afternoon.

We have also finally obtained the Excavation Permit from the City Engineering Office of Muntinlupa for the Maynilad installation. This was realized after obtaining the clearances from the homeowners' association and Barangay Tunasan. We thank God for His providence!

Early this week, we met with Engr. Desmond Diaz, who is the Structural Engineer for the church, to discuss the structural design. There were minor but significant and cost-effective changes that were made in the structural plan. As a result, three more holes need to be dug for the foundation. This would not only make the building stronger, but would mean big savings in the purchase of steel bars.

Apart from the ongoing excavation, the hauling of excavated soil was carried out. Some of it were temporary placed at the nearby vacant lot. An account manager of Steel Asia visited the site and will submit quotation of their products.

We are also currently working on the Certificate of Final Inspection to be issued by the Office of the Building Official of Muntinlupa City, as one of the requirements for the Meralco application. We already submitted the complete requirements for Maynilad connection.

This week, the excavation for the foundation and septic tank has been ongoing. Cutting and forming of steel bars already started as well. We also obtained certification from Barangay Tunasan for the application and installation of utilities. Indeed, God's guidance is evident especially since the inspector from Meralco and Maynilad for the installation of electric and water connection immediately came the day after we requested for site inspection! It was also a blessing in disguise that the Maynilad inspector is an Adventist engineer. Happy Sabbath, everyone!
