The cross was never meant to be polished or comfortable. It was rugged, rough, painful, and stained with the blood of our Savior. Yet this very cross became the place where justice and mercy met, where love conquered sin, and where salvation was paid in full.

As we partake in Communion, we remember that the rugged cross reveals the depth of God’s love, the seriousness of sin, the power of sacrifice, and our call to follow Christ with surrendered hearts.

May we never lose the wonder of the rugged cross. πŸ™

When Justice Sleeps, God Awakens: A Cry Against Corruption in the Philippines

Billions of pesos β€” that was the promise of safety, progress, and protection for the Filipino people through the government’s flood control projects. Yet today, as strong earthquakes shake our land and devastating floods drown our cities, the truth rises to the surface: our infrastructures were weak because our integrity was weaker.

The funds meant to build stronger walls and better drainage systems allegedly flowed instead into private pockets. Concrete was mixed not with honesty, but with greed. What was meant to save lives became another monument to corruption. Now, calamities expose what reports and inspections tried to conceal β€” that the works of men built on dishonesty will never stand firm.

Several hearings are being held, yet justice remains a distant dream. The names of those involved are whispered but never punished. They walk free, living in comfort, while millions suffer the consequences of their deceit. It is heartbreaking to see that in our country, money can still buy silence, protection, and even justice itself.

But one truth remains unshaken: God cannot be mocked. When men escape judgment in earthly courts, they will face it in the court of heaven. Earthquakes and floods may seem like natural events, but they also reveal a deeper truth β€” that nothing done in darkness will stay hidden forever. They can manipulate their projects, polish their reports, and deceive the people, but they cannot hide from God.

When human justice fails, divine justice begins. And no wealth, power, or position can withstand the wrath of God.

May this be a warning, and at the same time, a call for national repentance. It is time to rebuild β€” not just our infrastructures, but our moral foundation as a nation. Because the true strength of the Philippines will never come from its buildings, but from the righteousness of its people.

Justice will prevail β€” if not by the law of man, then surely by the act of God.
God bless the Philippines! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

Every word spoken is written in heaven. Every syllable we release carries eternal significance. Jesus Himself said, β€œFor by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned” (Matthew 12:37). What a sobering truth, that heaven records what our lips release.

Our tongues hold the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21). With the same mouth, we bless God and curse those made in His image. How easily we forget that our speech reveals the state of our hearts. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. When the tongue is sharp, the soul is unhealed. When words are cruel, the heart is still hiding pain.

How many careless words have slipped past our lips: sarcasm disguised as humor, gossip cloaked in concern, anger justified as honesty? How many times have we used our words to defend our pride instead of reflect His grace? Each word leaves a mark, not only on others but on us. Words don’t vanish; they echo in eternity.

In these last days, the Spirit invites us to bring our tongues to the altar. To repent for words that wounded. To ask forgiveness for conversations that carried pride, criticism, or deception. To be made new, so that the same mouth that once tore down might now build up, encourage, and bless.

When Isaiah saw the Lord’s holiness, he cried out, β€œWoe is me! I am a man of unclean lips.” But then, the seraphim touched his lips with a coal from the altar and said, β€œYour guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for” (Isaiah 6:6–7). That same mercy is available for us today.

May the Lord purify our speech. May He cleanse our hearts, so that our words become rivers of living water. May our mouths speak only what gives life, truth, and healing.

Let your tongue be a vessel of grace.
Let your words become worship.
Let heaven hear in your speech the echo of a heart surrendered to God ❀️‍πŸ”₯
