September 13, 2026 // 16th Sunday After Pentecost
“Not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us of the boundless mercy and forgiveness that God has shown us, and calls us to extend that same grace to one another.
On this special Sunday, we also mark the last Mass of The Rev’d Claire Janine E. Sambaan as Parish Priest of the Parish of St. Nicholas of Tolentine, Puntod, as she moves to a new assignment through the Diocese’ minor reshuffling.
As she concludes this chapter of ministry with our parish community, we give thanks for her years of service, guidance, presence, and love for the people of Puntod. Through joys, challenges, celebrations, and ordinary days, she has shared with us the journey of faith and service.
Like the servant in today’s Gospel who was reminded of the mercy he received, may we too remember the grace we have shared with one another. May forgiveness heal what needs healing, gratitude preserve what is beautiful, and love remain even when assignments change.
Thank you, Rev. Claire, for journeying with us. Your ministry and presence will always be part of the story of St. Nicholas of Tolentine Parish, Puntod.
May God bless you abundantly in your new mission and continue to guide you wherever He calls you. 🙏❤️
Daghang salamat, Rev. Claire. Padayon sa pagpangalagad!
