Last Sunday, we were reminded that Christianity is not simply about living a good life, but about living a life of discipline so that we may become more like Christ.
This requires the discipline of prayer, which strengthens and empowers us. Our obedience to God is also a discipline and a true expression of our love for Him. In addition, renewing our minds is a discipline that helps us move forward in our walk with Christ. Lastly, we need the discipline to persevere and never give up, knowing that through faithfulness, we can receive the promises God has given and prepared for us.

A disciplined Christian is a growing Christian. May we continue to grow and willingly embrace discipline for God’s glory.

Last Sunday, we were reminded that spiritual discipline requires our own effort and commitment. As followers of Christ, we must personally choose to seek God, strengthen our faith, and remain faithful to Him each day.

We need to be spiritually disciplined so we can be ready for the Second Coming of Christ. Discipline helps us guard our hearts from deception, keeps our love for God from growing cold, and strengthens us to stand firm through trials and persecution.

May we continue to pray, read God’s Word, obey His will, and remain watchful and faithful. Let us live each day with a heart prepared for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
