The world says... "Stay busy" but JESUS says.... to slow down.

True rest is not found in the world’s fleeting comforts, but in Christ alone. He calls the weary to Himself, offering peace that silences fear and grace that lifts every burden. To rest in Him is to live free, reconciled, and secure in salvation.

So let us lay down our striving, trust His victory, and walk in the calm assurance of His presence—until that eternal day when sorrow ceases and we enter the fullness of His rest.

Today, in our family service, we reflected on the importance of living by the Word of God.

Living by the Word of God is the very heartbeat of a faithful life. It is not merely guidance but the essence of true living—shaping our character, strengthening us in trials, and directing us toward righteousness. The Word is both light and life: it illuminates our path, sustains our spirit, and leads us to salvation through Christ. To live apart from it is to walk in darkness, but to embrace it is to walk in truth, hope, and eternal purpose.

The Word of God is indispensable. It is the foundation of our faith, the compass that directs our steps, and the very breath that sustains spiritual life.

As Jesus said in John 15:18–19, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first… you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”

The world resists Christ because His light exposes darkness.

His light brought us salvation by offering Himself for us, giving love, hope, and eternal life. Because Christ gave Himself in truth and sincerity, we are called to respond in the same way, by being truthful before God.

“How important is it to be truthful before God?”

Truthfulness before God is vital because salvation itself was given through the pure truth of Christ’s sacrifice. To live dishonestly before Him would be to reject the very light that saves us. When we are truthful, we honor the gift of salvation. God delights in hearts that are genuine, for only in truth can His love, hope, and grace fully transform us.

🌿 The Parable of Talent
The parable of the talents is about trust and responsibility in light of grace. The Master entrusts His children with something precious, expecting them to use it faithfully and fruitfully. The faithful child multiplies what is given; the fearful one hides it. The message is clear: God calls us not to waste His gifts but to live courageously for His kingdom.

✝️ The Cross as the Greatest Talent
The cross is the ultimate “talent” entrusted to us.
- Christ gave His life—the most priceless gift of grace.
- Salvation is placed in our hands—not to be hidden, but to be lived out.
- Just as the faithful child invests the Master’s gift, we are called to invest the salvation Christ purchased with His blood by living in obedience, sharing the gospel, and bearing fruit in love.

To bury salvation in silence or neglect is like the child who hid the talent. But to embrace the cross, to let it transform us, and to share its power with others is to multiply the gift entrusted to us.

“A person cannot ride on two boats.”

If one foot is in one boat and the other in another, sooner or later the waters will pull them apart, and the person will fall. In the same way, Jesus declared:

📖 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” — Matthew 6:24

Life demands a choice. Every day, we are faced with decisions. The greatest decision of all is whether we will choose the will of God—placing our faith in the death of Christ on the cross, which paid for all our sins—or whether we will choose the other way, the path of the world.

Let us choose the Master who leads us to eternal life. That Master is Jesus.

“How important is it for us to keep our promises to God?”

Keeping our promises to God is important because it shows our sincerity, faithfulness, and love for Him. It strengthens our spiritual life, builds our character, and deepens our relationship with Him. Fulfilling our promises reflects true faith, while breaking them can weaken our connection with God.

Hebrews 12:5–6 reminds us: “For the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He punishes each one He accepts as His child.”

God’s plan for every person is to reflect His image and likeness. His discipline is not meant to harm us, but to align our lives with His will rather than our own agendas. Correction from God is always for our benefit—it shapes us, strengthens us, and keeps us from straying down destructive paths.

Always remember: God corrects us because He loves us deeply. His discipline is proof that we are His children, and it is a sign of His care, not His rejection.

When we embrace God’s correction, we grow closer to His purpose and become more like Christ. Discipline is not punishment to fear, but love to cherish—because through it, we are guided back to the path of righteousness.

Everything that we achieve in life is because of God.

Whatever we have accomplished is not by our own strength alone, but because God has been there, providing everything we need to keep going. He gives us the love, joy, and strength to face every challenge, and most precious of all, He has given us salvation through Christ. Every step we take and every victory we experience is a reflection of His grace working in our lives.

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

This reminds us that our ability does not come from ourselves, but from Christ who empowers us. Apart from Him, we are limited, but with Him, we are sustained, guided, and made capable of overcoming anything that comes our way.

Therefore, in all that we achieve, we give back the glory to God, for He is the source of it all.

In our family service in Labiray, God revealed the question: What is true freedom?

True freedom is found in Christ, through His death on the cross, which gave us salvation by faith. It is in Him that we are set free from the bo***ge of sin and its consequences.

Because of this freedom, we are no longer controlled by fear, anxiety, or the constant worries of this world. In Christ, we can surrender our burdens, knowing that He is in control of every situation. We are freed from overthinking about the future and from the pressure of trying to handle everything on our own.

Instead, we can live with peace in our hearts, trusting that God will provide, guide, and sustain us each day.
