Madamo gid nga salamat, Bishop Louie!
Eight years is more than a number. It is eight years of prayers offered, sacrifices embraced, journeys taken, and lives touched by a shepherd who chose to walk with his people.
There were moments of joy, moments of challenges, and moments when the road was not easy. But through it all, your presence reminded us that leadership is not always about having all the answers, it is about having the courage to continue, the humility to serve, and the faith to trust where God is leading.
As we look back on your years as our shepherd, we realize that the greatest things you leave behind are not simply programs, accomplishments, or memories. You leave people who have been inspired, communities that have grown in faith, and hearts that have learned to serve with greater love.
And perhaps, this is what makes this moment a little bittersweet.
We thank God for giving you to us as our Bishop, even as we slowly learn that some chapters are meant to end so that God may begin writing another.
Madamo gid nga salamat, Bishop Louie.
Thank you for the years of faithful service, for the prayers, the patience, the laughter, the corrections, the encouragement, and most of all, for simply being with us.
Wherever the Lord leads you next, may you always carry with you the prayers and gratitude of the people of the Diocese of Kabankalan.
You may be moving to another mission, but the seeds you planted here will continue to grow.
Your chapter with us may be closing, but your legacy of faith, service, and love will remain.
May God continue to guide your steps, strengthen your heart, and bless the ministry entrusted to you.
Ad multos annos, Bishop Louie.
Thank you for being our shepherd.
Thank you for walking with us.
And thank you for reminding us that wherever God sends us, we are always called to serve with love.
From the Diocese of Kabankalan, Madamo gid nga salamat, Bishop Louie. We will continue to pray for you.
