Retablo SDA Church

Retablo SDA Church We are a newly planted church located in Mindanao with a mission the share the good news of salvation This threefold message appears in Revelation 14:6-16.

The Three Angels’ Messages are God’s special messages for last-day Christians. This message is to be shared with the world and will reach its climax with the second coming of Jesus. The First Angel’s Message
The first angel proclaims the everlasting gospel and calls for the restoration of the true worship of God as Creator, because the judgment hour has arrived. Read more about the first angel’s m

essage

“Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water’” (Revelation 14:6, 7). The Second Angel’s Message
The second angel warns against all humanly-originated forms of worship and beliefs that are not based completely on God’s Word. Read more about the second angel’s message

“Another angel followed, saying, ‘Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication’” (Revelation 14:8). The Third Angel’s Message
Finally, the third angel proclaims God’s solemn warning against worshiping the beast and his image. Read more about the third angel’s message

“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation....they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.’ Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus” (Revelation 14:9-12). Note: though Scripture symbolically portrays these messages as being proclaimed by three angels, it is actually God’s people—His last-day church—who deliver them to the world. Additionally, two groups emerge—those who choose to follow God’s Word completely and those who choose to mix biblical teachings with human traditions.

Pilia ang Huyang nga Dalan (Narrow Path)... Read more...

English: "The Sabbath is more than just a day of rest; it’s a weekly appointment with our Creator. In a world that never stops, the Seventh-day Sabbath is a sanctuary in time—a reminder that we are not defined by what we do, but by who we are."

English: "From Friday sunset to Saturday sunset, we set aside our work and worries to celebrate God’s finished work in Creation and His saving grace in Redemption. Happy Sabbath!

Option 3: The "Sanctuary in Time" (Focus on Relationship)
English: "Imagine a 24-hour period where the only agenda is love and worship. That’s the Sabbath! 🕊️ It’s not about 'rules'; it’s about a relationship. God blessed the seventh day and made it holy so we could find our identity in Him every single week."

English: "'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.' — Exodus 20:8"

The Seventh-day Adventist View on Christmas

Ang Panan-aw sa Seventh-day Adventist Bahin sa Pasko

The Seventh-day Adventist Church does not teach that Christmas should be rejected or forbidden. While the Bible does not command the celebration of Christ’s birth, Adventists believe that Jesus’ incarnation is central to the Christian faith and worthy of gratitude and remembrance.

Many Seventh-day Adventists choose to observe Christmas as a cultural and spiritual opportunity to reflect on the life and mission of Jesus Christ. However, the Church encourages members to avoid practices that distract from Christ or promote excess, materialism, or traditions that conflict with biblical principles.

Rather than focusing on rituals or dates, Seventh-day Adventists emphasize honoring Christ through daily discipleship, acts of kindness, generosity, and service—especially during the Christmas season. Christmas is often viewed as a meaningful time to share the message of hope, love, and salvation found in Jesus.

In summary, the Seventh-day Adventist stance is one of Christian liberty: members are free to observe Christmas thoughtfully and Christ-centered, without considering it a religious obligation.

Theme: Persecuted but Not Forsaken
Sunday: The "Ambassador in Chains"
Paul identifies as a "prisoner of Jesus Christ," not a prisoner of Rome.

SDA Commentary: Adventists often emphasize that God’s providence is larger than human decrees. Just as Paul was "an ambassador in chains," we believe that God often uses times of restriction or religious persecution to bring the Gospel to people who would otherwise never hear it (like the Roman elite). We see this as part of the Great Controversy—Satan tries to stop the messenger, but God uses the "chains" to reach new territories.

Monday: Paul in Chains (The Power to Endure)
Paul focuses on the "treasure in earthen vessels" (2 Cor. 4:7).

SDA Commentary: Ellen White emphasizes that the Holy Spirit is the divine power given to "overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil." For the Adventist, Paul’s endurance isn't about human willpower; it’s about surrender. When we are "pressed on every side," it is the indwelling of Christ that prevents us from being crushed. Our history as a movement often highlights that when we are weakest in ourselves, we are strongest in God’s power.

Tuesday: Strategic Mission in Philippi
The Holy Spirit directed Paul to Philippi, a key Roman colony.

SDA Commentary: This highlights the Adventist principle of "strategic evangelism." Paul targeted "chief cities" (centers of influence). Following this New Testament model, Adventist pioneers like James and Ellen White urged the church to establish "centers of influence" (hospitals, schools, and churches) in major cities. We believe the Holy Spirit still strategically coordinates the "work" to ensure the three angels' messages reach every "nation, kindred, tongue, and people."

Wednesday: Colossae and the Ripple Effect
Paul’s converts (like Epaphras) did the work of planting the church in Colossae.

SDA Commentary: This illustrates the "Total Member Involvement" concept. You don't have to be an Apostle to be a missionary. Furthermore, regarding the story of Philemon and the slave Onesimus, Ellen White notably instructed Adventists to defy the Fugitive Slave Act in the 1850s. She argued that God’s law of love and human dignity supersedes unjust human laws, echoing Paul’s appeal to treat a former slave as a "beloved brother."

Thursday: The "Gospel Order" (Church Organization)
Paul addresses "overseers and deacons," showing the church was organized.

SDA Commentary: Early Adventists were originally wary of formal organization, fearing it would become "Babylon." However, James White argued that "Gospel Order" was essential for the survival of the message. We believe that church organization (tithe, local elders, and a global structure) is not a human invention but a biblical mandate to protect the church from false doctrine and to ensure the efficient spread of the Gospel.

Friday: Summary Reflection
The core Adventist takeaway from Lesson 1 is that integrity is independent of circumstances. Whether in a prison cell or a palace, the believer’s "face is set as a flint heavenward." We rejoice not because the trial is good, but because the One who is with us in the trial has already won the victory.

The Emotional Roller Coaster
Too often, people allow their emotions to be controlled by their life’s circumstances. But if you allow your feelings to dictate your happiness, you’ll be on an emotional roller coaster that will never bring peace.

Grounded in Faith
God created you to feel emotions, but He wants you to stay grounded on His firm foundation of trust, knowing that He loves you and desires the best for you.
Giluhat kita sa Dios nga adunay mga emosyon, apan gusto Niya nga magpabilin kitang lig-on diha sa pagsalig Kaniya, kay nahibalo Siya unsay labing maayo alang kanato.

The Promise of Peace
The Bible reminds us in Isaiah and Psalms to trust in the Lord for perfect peace. When we are afraid, putting our trust in Him removes the fear of what others can do to us.

Your Feelings are Valid
God knows how you feel. It is okay to cry or be upset because your feelings are inherently valid. Don’t let anyone minimize or invalidate what you are going through.

God’s Grace and Mercy
God is patient and understanding. He waits for you with open arms—without judgment or guilt—ready to comfort you after you have released all your pain.
Ang Dios mapailubon ug puno sa grasya. Naghulat Siya kanimo nga abli ang mga bukton, walay paghukom, andam nga mohatag og hupay human nimo mapahungaw ang imong kaguol.

Surrendering to Jesus
Stop riding the emotional roller coaster. Give every worry, stress, and heartache to Jesus, and He will replace it with His sweet peace and joy.
