Honoring the Sabbath
The Sabbath is more than just a day off; it is a sacred pause in our busy lives. God set aside the seventh day as a time of rest and reflection, reminding us that life is not only about work and achievement, but also about worship and renewal. In Exodus 20:8, we are called to “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” This command is both an invitation and a blessing — an opportunity to step away from the noise of the world and find peace in God’s presence.
When we honor the Sabbath, we realign our hearts with what truly matters. We find time to be still, to give thanks, and to remember that our worth is not defined by what we do, but by who we are in God’s eyes. The Sabbath teaches us rest, gratitude, and faith. It is a reminder that even God rested, and so should we.
