O St. Joseph, chosen from all eternity to stand at the very heart of God’s plan of salvation, yours was a love unlike any other. You sheltered the Mother of God beneath your watchful care, and with tender devotion you raised the very Son of God as your own — teaching Him the Scriptures, leading Him in prayer, training His hands in honest work, and forming Him in the traditions of His people. In the silence of Nazareth, your chaste heart beat in perfect union with the hearts of Jesus and Mary — a holy trinity of love, hidden from the world yet precious in the eyes of God.

Most Chaste Heart of St. Joseph, cherished by God and all His heavenly court, I dedicate this day to your honor. To your heart I entrust my joys and sorrows, my struggles and my blessings. Saint Anthony, servant of Mary, glory of the Church, pray for our Holy Father, our bishops, our priests, our Religious Orders, that, through their pious zeal and apostolic labors, all may be united in faith and give greater glory to God. St. Anthony, helper of all who invoke you, pray for me and intercede for me before the throne of Almighty God that I be granted the favor I so earnestly seek in this novena (State your intention).

COMMEMORATION I APPARITION OF OUR LADY OF ARANZAZU

Our Lady appeared to a shepherd, Rodrigo de Baltzategui, on top of a thorn tree in Guipuzcoa, Spain on June 11, 1459. Our Lady requested to build a shrine on the apparition site and assured to the pilgrims the graces that they need. Many miracles were recorded and a number of saints visited her shrine like St. Ignatius of Loyola.

The devotion would soon spread in the Philippines as her images under this title are enshrined at Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Manila and at the National Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Aranzazu, San Mateo, Rizal.
