The Visit of the Pilgrim Relic Bust of St. Anna Schaffer
December 13, 2025, Saturday
11:00 AM -Welcome Mass and Arrival of the Sacred Relic Bust.
The Pilgrim Relic will stay in the parish up to Janaury 2026.
WHO IS ST ANNA SCHAFFER?
St. Anna Schäffer (1882-1925) was a German laywoman, mystic, and stigmatist known for her profound faith and acceptance of immense suffering after a severe industrial accident left her bedridden for life, turning her illness into an apostolate of prayer and spiritual guidance for others, and she was canonized by the Catholic Church in 2012. She lived in poverty, worked as a maid, received visions from Jesus, and became a Franciscan tertiary, offering her pain for the sins of the world.
Saint Anna Schäffer is the patron saint of the Poor, the Sick, the Suffering, and those with physical ailments or disabilities, including accident victims, because she lived a life of profound suffering after a severe industrial accident left her bedridden for 25 years, yet she found holiness by uniting her pain with Christ's. She's a model of faith and perseverance through hardship.
