Midsayap Branch News | Branch Council Meeting Held

Leaders from the different organizations of the Midsayap Branch gathered on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, for the Branch Council Meeting.

Representatives from the Elders Quorum, Relief Society, Young Men, Young Women, Primary, and Sunday School, including the Full-time Missionaries, came together to counsel as one, share updates from their respective organizations, coordinate upcoming efforts, and discuss ways to better strengthen the Saints and further the work of salvation in the branch.

Branch councils are a sacred opportunity for leaders to listen, counsel together, and seek the Lord's guidance in ministering to individuals and families. As taught by President M. Russell Ballard, "When we counsel together, the Lord can help us know what to do." Through unity and revelation, councils become a powerful blessing in accomplishing the Lord's work.

We express our gratitude to all leaders who attended and contributed their time, insights, and willingness to serve. May we continue to work together "with one heart and one mind" as we strive to build the kingdom of God in Midsayap.

🧹✨ **Midsayap Branch Chapel General Cleaning** ✨🧹

Last Saturday, July 4, 2026, members of the Midsayap Branch came together in a spirit of unity and willing service as they participated in our Chapel General Cleaning.

From wiping windows and dusting surfaces to tidying every corner of the chapel, each act of service reflected our shared desire to keep the Lord's house clean, reverent, and welcoming for all who enter. We are deeply grateful to every brother, sister, youth, and child who generously gave their time and effort.

President Russell M. Nelson taught, "The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives." That day, joy was evident as members served with cheerful hearts and worked side by side.

We are also reminded of the words of Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf:

"As we lose ourselves in the service of others, we discover our own lives and our own happiness."

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make our chapel a place that reflects our love for the Savior. May we continue to strengthen our branch not only through worship on Sundays but also through the simple, meaningful acts of service we render to one another throughout the week.

"Zion is built by ordinary people who covenant to do extraordinary things through the grace of Jesus Christ." May we continue to build Zion together—one act of service at a time. 🤍

Teachers Encouraged to Seek Spiritual Guidance as Class Time Adjustments Begin in September

Cotabato Philippines District — During a leadership training held at the Cotabato City Chapel on June 13, church leaders shared important guidance regarding the upcoming adjustment to Sunday class schedules beginning in September. With class periods becoming shorter, teachers are encouraged to place greater emphasis on teaching principles that are most relevant to the current needs and circumstances of their members.

Elder Eduardo Argana of the Quorum of the Seventy explained that while lesson materials continue to provide a wealth of doctrine, history, and supporting insights, the reduced class time will require teachers to focus on the principles that can best strengthen faith and address the spiritual needs of class members. Rather than attempting to cover every section of a lesson, teachers are invited to prayerfully determine which principles will have the greatest impact on those they teach.

Because of this responsibility, teachers were encouraged to seek the guidance of the Holy Ghost as they prepare and teach. Through prayer and thoughtful consideration of the needs of the members, teachers can receive inspiration regarding which principles to emphasize and how to present them effectively within the available time.

Everyone was also reminded that gospel learning is not intended to take place only during Sunday meetings. Families and individuals are encouraged to continue studying the Come, Follow Me curriculum in their homes. Home-centered gospel study provides opportunities to explore additional teachings, scriptures, and discussion points that may not be covered during Sunday classes due to time limitations.

This balanced approach allows Sunday instruction to focus on principles that are most needed by members as a whole, while home study provides opportunities for deeper learning and personal application. As the Church continues to emphasize home-centered, Church-supported gospel learning, members are invited to actively participate in both settings to strengthen their understanding of the gospel and their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Teachers preparing for the September transition are encouraged to begin developing the habit of prayerfully identifying key principles and seeking revelation for those they teach. As they do so, they can trust that the Lord will guide their efforts and help ensure that gospel instruction continues to meet the needs of His children.
