DMII Holds Lenten Recollection – March 22, 2026

On March 22, 2026, around 20 Daughters of Mary Immaculate International ( DMII) members and invited guests gathered at Franceza’s Miagao, Iloilo, for a meaningful Lenten recollection. The activity was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Charles Jiscel Sta. Cruz, who served as the spiritual speaker.

The recollection began with the reading of the Sunday Gospel, followed by an insightful discussion on the true essence of Lent, reflecting on the song passage, SINO AKO?

The talk emphasized practical guidance through the “DOs and DON’Ts” of living a Christ-centered life. The “DOs” encouraged participants to “STOP,” which stands for Silence, Think, Open-mindedness, and Prayerfulness—inviting them to pause and reflect. Meanwhile, the “DON’Ts” focused on avoiding the “3Ms”: Misuse or Abuse of Technology, Materialistic or Consumerist Attitude, and “Mine” Mentality—promoting discipline and spiritual growth. # #

An open forum allowed members to share and clarify personal experiences and beliefs, enriching the reflection and strengthening their faith journey.

The activity concluded with a joyful fellowship over a sumptuous potluck meal generously shared by the DMII members.

DMII – Miagao Circle Celebrates Women’s Month 2026

In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Daughters of Mary Immaculate International (DMII) – Miagao Circle demonstrated their support through a meaningful initiative on March 22, 2026. A tarpaulin was prominently displayed in front of St. Thomas of Villanova Church in Miagao to promote awareness and encourage wider dissemination of information on gender sensitivity, equality, and inclusivity—especially among the local community.

Wearing their lavender attire, DMII members visibly expressed their strong advocacy for women empowerment. They further manifested this commitment by actively assisting in the church offertory activity, embodying both service and solidarity in uplifting the role and dignity of women.

A follow - up meeting / consultation on March 21, 2026 at 12:30- 2:30 PM with Ms Mita ( Mitz) T. Remegio - a representative of Damilisan Fisherfolk Association ( DFA) regarding the updates of the upcoming Training on Fish Processing Technologies. Thank you for your valuable time and for a gesture of sincerity and commitment on our proposed Livelihood Trainings to empower the fisherfolk of Brgy Damilisan. This is inline with and timely for the women’s month (March) celebration 2026.
