WHEN IT SEEMS HOPELESS
2 kings 18 & 19

1. STOP WORRYING

Pagkatapos marinig ang pagbabanta ng Assyria
Hindi itinangi ni Hezekiah ang problema
Pero hindi rin niya hinayaang kontrolin sya ng takot

2 Kings 18:5-7 New International Version
5 Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him. 6 He held fast to the Lord and did not stop following him; he kept the commands the Lord had given Moses. 7 And the Lord was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook. He rebelled against the king of Assyria and did not serve him.

19 Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only.

Sinugo ng Diyos si Propeta Elias

17 Si Elias ay isang propetang taga-Tisbe sa Gilead.[a] Sinabi niya kay Ahab, “Saksi si Yahweh, ang buháy na Diyos ng Israel na aking pinaglilingkuran, hindi uulan, ni hindi magkakahamog sa mga darating na taon hangga't hindi ko sinasabi.”
2 Pagkatapos, sinabi ni Yahweh kay Elias, 3 “Umalis ka rito at magtago ka sa batis ng Carit, sa silangan ng Jordan. 4 Maiinom mo ang tubig sa batis at may inutusan akong mga uwak na maghahatid sa iyo ng pagkain.”
5 Sinunod nga ni Elias ang sinabi ni Yahweh. Lumakad siya at nanirahan sa may batis ng Carit, sa silangan ng Jordan. 6 Umaga't hapon, may mga uwak na nagdadala sa kanya ng pagkain, at sa batis naman siya umiinom. 7 Ngunit dumating ang panahon na natuyo na rin ang batis.
Pinapunta si Elias sa Sarepta
8 Kaya sinabi sa kanya ni Yahweh, 9 “Umalis ka rito. Pumunta ka sa Sarepta, sa lupain ng Sidon. May inutusan akong isang biyuda na magpapakain sa iyo roon.” 10 Pumunta nga siya roon, at nang papasok na siya ng pintuan ng lunsod, nakita niya ang biyuda na namumulot ng panggatong. Sinabi niya sa babae, “Maaari po bang makiinom?” 11 Aalis na ang babae upang ikuha siya ng tubig nang pahabol niyang sabihin, “Kung maaari, bigyan mo na rin ako ng kapirasong tinapay.”
12 Sumagot ang babae, “Saksi si Yahweh, ang inyong buháy na Diyos[b] na wala na kaming tinapay. Mayroon pa kaming kaunting harina at ilang patak na langis. Namumulot nga ako ng panggatong upang lutuin iyon at makakain man lamang kami ng anak ko bago kami mamatay.”
13 Sinabi sa kanya ni Elias, “Huwag kang mag-alala. Pumunta ka na at gawin mo ang iyong sinabi. Ngunit ipagluto mo muna ako ng isang maliit na tinapay, at pagkatapos magluto ka ng para sa inyo. 14 Sapagkat ganito ang sabi ni Yahweh, Diyos ng Israel:
Hindi ninyo mauubos ang harina sa lalagyan,
at hindi rin matutuyo ang langis sa tapayan
hanggang hindi sumasapit ang takdang araw
na papatakin na ni Yahweh ang ulan.”
15 Ginawa nga ng babae ang utos ni Elias at hindi naubos ang pagkain ni Elias at ng mag-ina sa loob ng maraming araw. 16 Hindi nga naubos ang harina sa lalagyan, at hindi rin natuyo ang langis sa sisidlan, tulad ng sinabi ni Yahweh sa pamamagitan ni Elias.

12 Pinagpala ang taong nananatiling tapat sa kabila ng mga pagsubok; sapagkat matapos niyang malampasan ang pagsubok, tatanggap siya ng gantimpala ng buhay, na ipinangako ng Panginoon[a] sa mga umiibig sa kanya.

PANANAMPALATAYA NA MAY KATAPATAN

Ang tunay na pananampalataya ay hindi sumusuko at nananatiling matatag sa kabila ng mga suliranin sa buhay.

2. CROWN OF LIFE ( gantimpala ng buhay)

After malagpasan ang lahat ng pagsubok meron matatangap na gantimpala.

May nakalaang dakilang gantimpala at buhay na walang hanggan para sa mga taong nagtitiis at nananatiling matatag.

God is the giver.

3. Commitment out of love

Ang pagiging tapat sa Lord ay patunay ng ating malalim na pagmamahal at relasyon sa Lord.
