PAMILYA, PAGMAMAGULANG AT PAGLILINGKOD.

Nang matanda na si Samuel, ginawa niyang mga hukom ng Israel ang kanyang mga anak na lalaki. 2 Ang panganay niya ay si Joel at ang pangalawa'y si Abias. Sila'y nagsilbing hukom sa Beer-seba. 3 Ngunit hindi sila sumunod sa halimbawa ng kanilang ama. Naging gahaman sila sa salapi, tumanggap ng suhol, at hindi pinairal ang katarungan.

4 Dahil dito, ang pinuno ng Israel ay sama-samang nagsadya kay Samuel sa Rama at 5 kanilang sinabi, “Matanda na po kayo. Ang mga anak naman ninyo'y hindi sumusunod sa inyong mga yapak. Kaya't ipili ninyo kami ng isang haring mamumuno sa amin tulad ng ibang mga bansa.” 1 Samuel 8:1-4

Walang perpektong leader at pastor. Magkakamali, papalpak, pero hinde maaring pabayaan at hinde mahusay na pamunuan ang pamilya mula sa asawa at mga anak.

Si Samuel ay mahusay, marangal at maka Dios na pinuno. Subalit maging aral na ang pagiging magaling sa church at sa ministry ay hinde sapat na “parangal” sa kabiguan nang pag mamagulang sa ating mga anak.

Ang mabuting pastor na mabuting pinamamahalaan at ginagabayan ang pamilya (kahit maraming hamon) ay napakalaking biyaya at pagpapala sa iglesya.

Our family, like the “church members and workers” we served are also worthy of our servant leadership.

Madaming magaling sa church at hinde papasapaw, i got that. Pero sa pamilya kapag nasira kahit anung husay ng pamumuno sa church ay maaring maging dahilan ng ating pagkasira.

Preaching of the Word of God.

Its not our words or our life story (mo matter how good and moving it is) will save and transform a person, it is the Faithful and clear teaching of God’s Word, the Scriptures!

Let not the preacher of Gods word be an entertainer, a clown, a motivator or a coach, in the pulpit but instead study to show ourselves as a preacher unashamed and approved by God who teach the word of God carefully and faithfully. It is not about us or our “ministry” or our accomplishments that convicts men and women to return to God, it is the Holy Spirit testifying and manifesting the Word of God!

It is the Word of God that remains true in the highs and lows of life. Heaven and earth will fail but Gods word will never fail.

Never join the plethora of so called “inspirational” preachers and teachers that preach about themselves, their accomplishments and use the “word of God” to make it a biblical preaching! Go back to the Bible. Go back to the faithful preaching of the Word!

SPRITUAL MAKE-OVER
Lessons from the life of David (Shared by Pastora Carol during Tara Pray Tayo)
Psalm 51:10-12
10 mCreate in me a nclean heart, O God,
and orenew a right2 spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not qyour Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.
- Written by David when his sin has been exposed by prophet Nathan.
- Spiritual renewal is a transformative process that Christian embark upon to revive their spiritual life.
It is impossible to have spiritual renewal without the help of God.
Lessons From David's Repentance:
1. Prayed to God to create him a clean heart. V. 10a Ezekiel 36:26
○ Acknowledgement of sins.
§ Did not use blame game strategy.
§ Did not pretend innocent.
When God reveal our sins, we have to acknowledge it.
2. Renew a steadfast spirit within me
V. 10b firm, immovable and unshakable spirit.
○ Acknowledge that only God can fix the broken pieces of our lives.
3. Do not cast me from your presence
Take not your Holy Spirit from me v. 11
○ Acknowledge that the hardest part of our Christian life is to be far away from God's presence.
○ In God's presence you have everything you need. God's favor within you.
○ Colossians 2:10
○ In Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head
4. Restore to me the joy of my salvation. V. 12a
○ David is asking that he would again have the fellowship with God.
○ Salvation is a joyful experience.
5. Grant me a willing Spirit to sustain me
○ Right Spirit - not our will, but a spirit who submits.
○ Desire to please God.
○ Accept the ways of the Lord.
○ Luke 22:42
Personal renewal is impossible to do without the power of God working in us and through Christ.
