The bibliography of Augustine of Hippo contains a list of works published by fourth-century Christian bishop and theologian Augustine of Hippo.

Saint Augustine in His Study by Sandro Botticelli, 1480, Chiesa di Ognissanti, Florence, Italy.
Augustine was one of the most prolific Latin authors in terms of surviving works, and the list of his works consists of more than one hundred separate titles. He wrote a book before converting to Christianity, De Pulchra et Apto (380), which was already lost by the time he wrote most of his work.[1] They include apologetic works against the heresies of the Arians, Donatists, Manichaeans and Pelagians; texts on Christian doctrine, notably De Doctrina Christiana (On Christian Doctrine); and exegetical works such as commentaries on Book of Genesis, the Psalms and Paul's Letter to the Romans; along with many sermons and letters.

Apart from those, Augustine is probably best known for his Confessions, which is a personal account of his earlier life, and for De civitate dei (The City of God, consisting of 22 books), which he wrote to restore the confidence of his fellow Christians, which was badly shaken by the sack of Rome by the Visigoths in 410. His On the Trinity, in which he developed what has become known as the 'psychological analogy' of the Trinity, is also among his masterpieces. He also wrote On Free Choice Of The Will (De libero arbitrio), addressing why God gives humans free will that can be used for evil.

Towards the end of his life (c. 426–427), Augustine revisited his previous works in chronological order in the Retractationes. The title of this work is often translated into English as Retractions, which can give the erroneous idea that he was "retracting" his earlier works. In fact, the Latin title literally means "re-treatments", and though in this work Augustine suggested what he would have said differently, it provides little in the way of actual "retraction".[2]

The Coronation of the Virgin or Coronation of Mary is a subject in Christian art, especially popular in Italy in the 13th to 15th centuries, but continuing in popularity until the 18th century and beyond. Christ, sometimes accompanied by God the Father and the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove, places a crown on the head of Mary as Queen of Heaven. In early versions the setting is a Heaven imagined as an earthly court, staffed by saints and angels; in later versions Heaven is more often seen as in the sky, with the figures seated on clouds. The subject is also notable as one where the whole Christian Trinity is often shown together, sometimes in unusual ways. Crowned Virgins are also seen in Eastern Orthodox Christian icons, specifically in the Russian Orthodox church after the 18th century. Mary is sometimes shown, in both Eastern and Western Christian art, being crowned by one or two angels, but this is considered a different subject.

THE ASSUMPTION OF THE VIRGIN MARY - 16TH CENTURY.

The Father gives You the crown, The Son His Right Hand, and the Third Person, He gives You His Sovereign Love.

Pure Virgin, today God wants
That you rise from the ground to Heaven,
Well, when You wanted,
He came down from Heaven to the ground.

If on earth God wanted to give You
Of the good that He had there,
What will He give You in paradise,
Where everything is joy?
Your love and love of God
Today they are in the flight,
Because through Him You go to God,
And He came to you from Heaven.

The Father gives You the crown,
The Son His Right Hand,
and the Third Person
He gives you His Sovereign Love.
You reach, Virgin, of God
Awards, honors, and consolation,
And through Him You are Heaven,
And He for You man on the ground.

Poem written by Juan López de Übeda – 16th century.

Little is known about him. He was born in Toledo, Spain in 1593. He had a bachelor's degree and founded the Alcalá de Henares Children's Doctrine Seminary. He stood out for returning "to the divine" some popular songs through the contrafactum procedure in the same way that Fray Ambrosio de Montesinos had already done.

Lord God blesses you.

Gospel
Lk 1:39-58

The Almighty has done great things for me: he has raised up the lowly.

✠ A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke

Mary set out
and traveled to the hill country in haste
to a town of Judah,
where she entered the house of Zechariah
and greeted Elizabeth.
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting,
the infant leaped in her womb,
and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit,
cried out in a loud voice and said,
“Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
And how does this happen to me,
that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears,
the infant in my womb leaped for joy.
Blessed are you who believed
that what was spoken to you by the Lord
would be fulfilled.”

And Mary said:
“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.”

Mary remained with her about three months
and then returned to her home.
