In todayโ€™s Gospel from the Gospel of Luke (24:35โ€“48), the disciples share how they recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread. And while they were still speaking, Jesus Himself stood in their midst and said, โ€œPeace be with you.โ€

Yet even in His presence, they were startled and afraid.

How real this is for us. We pray for God to come close, to reveal Himselfโ€”and when He does, we sometimes respond with doubt, fear, or hesitation. But Jesus does not withdraw. Instead, He reassures them: He shows His wounds, eats with them, and opens their minds to understand the Scriptures.

The Risen Christ meets us where we areโ€”not in perfection, but in our fears and uncertainties. He does not condemn our doubts; He transforms them.

And then, He gives them a mission: to be witnesses.

This is the movement of Easterโ€” from fear to peace, from doubt to faith, from encounter to mission.

In todayโ€™s Gospel from the Gospel of Luke (24:13โ€“35), we walk with the disciples on the road to Emmaus. As they journeyed in confusion and sorrow, something beautiful happens: โ€œJesus himself drew near and walked with them, but their eyes were prevented from recognizing him.โ€ (Lk 24:15โ€“16)

How powerful this is. Even in their sadness, even in their doubts, Jesus was already with themโ€”walking beside them, listening to them, accompanying themโ€ฆ yet they did not recognize Him.

Isnโ€™t this also our story?

There are moments when life feels heavy, when prayers seem unanswered, when hope feels distant.

Sometimes, our eyes are โ€œpreventedโ€ by fear, disappointment, or expectations. But Jesus remains patient. He continues to journey with us, to speak to our hearts, and to reveal Himselfโ€”especially in the breaking of the bread.

Today, let us ask for the grace to recognize Him in our daily walk: in our struggles, in our conversations, in the Eucharist, and in the people we meet. Because even when we do not see Himโ€ฆ He is already walking with us.

When we stand before God, He doesnโ€™t look at the front of the maskโ€”we try so hard to fix everything on the outside, but He sees beyond it. He sees the hidden, the wounded, the parts weโ€™re ashamed ofโ€ฆ the real us. And here is the miracle: that is exactly the one He loves. That is the one He chose. That is the one He died for. ๐Ÿค

In our PADAYON Formation Module 2: Accepted, Not Rejected, we are reminded that Godโ€™s love is not based on perfection, but on His grace. We donโ€™t have to pretend. We donโ€™t have to hide. We are already seen, already known, and still deeply loved.

โ€œTahanan mo ako, โ€˜di magbabago โ€™yun.โ€ In God, we have a homeโ€”a place where we are fully accepted, not rejected. A place where we belong, no matter our past, our struggles, or our fears.

Padayon. You are accepted. You are chosen. You are belong to Him.

In todayโ€™s Gospel from the Gospel of John (20:11โ€“18), we encounter Mary Magdalene weeping outside the tombโ€”grieving, confused, and searching. Even as the Risen Lord stood before her, she did not recognize Himโ€ฆ until He called her by name. โ€œMary.โ€

In that single moment, everything changed. Her sorrow turned into joy. Her confusion into clarity. Her mourning into mission.

How often are we like Mary? We search for God in the midst of our pain, yet fail to recognize that He is already near. Sometimes, it is only when He calls us personallyโ€”through prayer, through others, through our experiencesโ€”that our eyes are opened.

The Resurrection is not just an event; it is an encounter. A personal one. Jesus knows us by name, meets us in our brokenness, and calls us to new life.

Today, let us listen closely. In the silence of our hearts, the Risen Christ is calling us too.

We are slowly returning to our normal livesโ€”back to routines, responsibilities, and the familiar rhythm of each day. Yet, the joy of Easter is not something we leave behind. It is something we carry within us.

In todayโ€™s Gospel from the Gospel of Matthew (28:8โ€“15), the women ran from the tomb filled with both fear and great joy. They encountered the Risen Lord not by staying still, but by moving forwardโ€”by going back, by continuing their journey. Meanwhile, others chose to hide the truth, clinging to fear and control.

The Resurrection calls us to live differently, to speak truth, to choose faith over fear, and to bring the joy of the Risen Christ into our everyday moments.

As we return to our โ€œnormal lives,โ€ may we not return as the same people.
May our words reflect hope. May our actions proclaim truth. May our lives witness that Christ is truly risen.

Last April 1, 2026, our Parish Youth gathered for a grace-filled Lenten Recollectionโ€”a sacred time to pause, reflect, and rediscover Godโ€™s loving presence in our lives.

In the midst of our busy and noisy world, we were invited to enter into silence, to listen, and to open our hearts more deeply to the Lord. Through the talks, activities, and moments of personal prayer, each one was reminded that we are called, loved, and never alone in our journey of faith.

As the day came to a close, we were led into a more profound encounter with God through the Prayer in the Way of Taizรฉ. In the gentle repetition of chants, the stillness of silence, and the soft glow of candlelight, we experienced a different kind of prayerโ€”simple, yet deeply moving. It was in that quiet space that many found peace, healing, and a renewed sense of hope.

This recollection was not just a one-day event, but a reminder that our Lenten journey continues beyond that moment. May the seeds planted in our hearts grow and bear fruit in our daily livesโ€”through service, forgiveness, and a deeper commitment to follow Christ.

Padayon, kabatan-onan! Let us continue to walk together in faith, carrying the light of Christ wherever we go. โœจ

Today, we rejoice in the victory of life over death, light over darkness. The empty tomb, witnessed in the Gospel from Gospel of John (20:1โ€“9), speaks not of loss, but of hope fulfilled. Though the disciples did not yet fully understand,

Like Mary Magdalene, Peter, and the beloved disciple, we are invited to run toward the Risen Lord, even in our confusion and doubt. For in the silence of the empty tomb, God reveals His greatest promise: that He makes all things new.

May this Easter awaken in us a deeper faith, a renewed hope, and a burning love that proclaims:

In the silence of the night, light breaks forth. From darkness to dawn, we celebrate the victory of life over death, hope over despair.

In the Gospel from Gospel of Matthew (28:1โ€“10), the women come to the tomb in sorrow, only to be met with the unexpected joy of the Resurrection. The stone is rolled away, not just from the tomb, but from their fear. The angelโ€™s message echoes through time: โ€œ๐˜ฟ๐™ค ๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ฉ ๐™—๐™š ๐™–๐™›๐™ง๐™–๐™ž๐™™โ€ฆ ๐™ƒ๐™š ๐™ž๐™จ ๐™ฃ๐™ค๐™ฉ ๐™๐™š๐™ง๐™š, ๐™›๐™ค๐™ง ๐™ƒ๐™š ๐™๐™–๐™จ ๐™—๐™š๐™š๐™ฃ ๐™ง๐™–๐™ž๐™จ๐™š๐™™.โ€

Like the women, we are called to move from fear to faith, from doubt to witness. The Risen Lord meets us on our journey and invites us to proclaim the Good News with courage and joy.

May this Holy Night rekindle in us a living hopeโ€”reminding us that no darkness is too deep, for Christ is our Light.

A day of silence. A day of waiting. A day that teaches us to trust even when nothing seems to move.

Between the sorrow of the cross and the joy of the resurrection, we find ourselves in the quiet in-betweenโ€”where faith is tested, hope feels hidden, and God seems silent. Yet, it is in this stillness that we are invited to surrender, to believe that even in the darkness, God is already at work.

Like the disciples who waited in fear and uncertainty, we too hold onโ€ฆ trusting that the story does not end in the tomb.

In silence, we wait.
In faith, we hope.
In stillness, we believe.
