Faith is the grace that is first on the field of battle, and all the rest follow it. It is the first link of the chain of the graces of the Spirit, that draws all the rest after it, 1 Tim. 1:5. It is the mother-grace, out of whose womb they all come forth; because it is the uniting grace that knits the soul to Christ, the fountain of fulness. So the way to get love, repentance, patience, etc is to believe, thus it furnishes the field of battle, with fighters on Christ's side.

Your physical body is temporary and will eventually rot. In contrast, your soul is eternal, destined for either eternal life or eternal fire. How deeply do you care for your soul? Do you value it more than the fleeting treasures of this world?
O dear friends, seek the Lord Jesus while He may still be found. And find eternal life in Him.

A professing believer of Christ yet with life too breezy? No sufferings FOR THE SAKE OF HIM? Probably because you're not fulfilling the will of God in your life.

A red flag on your faith.

"and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him"(Romans 8:17).

On that Day, when we stand before our ever-glorious and holy God, "I was too busy, Lord.", is something you'd not even dare to speak of as an excuse.
At its essence, sin is being self-seeking, living a life independent of God.
Are you too busy to seek and know the Lord, who owns your life and to whom you are ultimately accountable?

Cultivate a habit of communion with God. This will prepare you for whatever may take place. This will so sweeten your temper and calm your mind as to secure you against surprisals. This will produce that inward peace which will make you superior to your trials. Habitual communion with God will afford enjoyment, which you can never be willing to interrupt by sinful feeling. When a Christian is calm and submissive under his afflictions, probably he derives support and comfort in this way; but he who is discomposed, impatient, or fretful, shows that all is not right within – he cannot be supposed to practice communion with God.
