DUSK TO DAWN (5/22/26)

“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.”
— Psalm 118:8 (KJV)

Devotion: Standing on God’s Truth Above Politics

Politics can shape nations, influence decisions, and stir strong emotions among people. While leaders and governments are important, believers must remember that our ultimate hope is not in human systems, but in God alone. Political opinions may divide people, but God’s truth remains unchanging.

The Bible teaches us to pray for leaders, seek peace, and live with wisdom and integrity. At the same time, we must be careful not to let political loyalty become greater than our loyalty to God. Human leaders can fail, promises can be broken, and earthly power can change quickly—but the Lord remains righteous and faithful forever.

As Christians, we are called to stand for truth, justice, compassion, and righteousness. We should speak with wisdom, avoid hatred, and remember that every person is created by God. Even in times of conflict or disagreement, our words and actions should reflect Christ.

It is easy to become discouraged when we see corruption, division, or injustice. Yet God is never absent from what is happening in the world. He still rules with authority, sees every hidden thing, and calls His people to remain faithful. Instead of being consumed by fear or anger, let us seek discernment through prayer and the Word of God.

May we never place our faith fully in politicians or governments, but in the King of kings who rules with perfect truth and justice.

DUSK TO DAWN..(5/21/26)

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
— Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

Devotion: Faith That Endures

Life often brings moments that test our strength—delays, disappointments, losses, and uncertainties. In those seasons, resilience is not simply about being strong on our own. True resilience comes from trusting God even when we do not understand His plans.

Faith reminds us that God never leaves His children in the middle of their struggles. Every trial can strengthen our character, deepen our dependence on Him, and teach us to persevere. Sometimes we pray for the storm to end, but God first teaches us how to stand firm within it.

The Bible shows us that many faithful people endured hardship. Job suffered greatly yet remained faithful. David faced fear and enemies but continued to trust the Lord. Paul experienced persecution yet still preached with courage. Their resilience was rooted not in human ability, but in confidence in God.

When you feel tired, remember that resilience grows one day at a time—through prayer, worship, obedience, and hope. God sees every tear, hears every prayer, and strengthens every weary heart that calls upon Him.

Do not give up because of a difficult season. God can use trials to prepare you for greater purpose and stronger faith. Hold on to His promises and continue walking forward, even if the steps are small.

Honoring the strength, love, and sacrifice of every mother.
This Mother’s Day, we celebrate not only the beautiful and unbreakable bond between mothers and daughters, but also the hearts of our dedicated DVBS workers who serve with genuine love and faith. Each moment shared—from laughter to simple conversations—reminded us of the joy that comes from being together in unity.

It was more than just an outing; it was a day filled with gratitude, appreciation, and meaningful connections. We thank God for the gift of mothers who nurture with patience and grace, daughters who bring light and joy, and workers who continue to serve faithfully behind the scenes.

Truly, a day to cherish—where love was felt, faith was strengthened, and memories were made to last.
