In the same way a shepherd tends to their sheep, a leader has a responsibility to understand and nourish the condition of those in their care. The most important area of well-being to nurture and "check in" on is our spiritual health.

He is Risen! 🌅✨

Drawing from the account of Easter Sunday in John 20:1-18, we see Mary Magdalene transformed from a state of grieving and despondency to becoming a joyful witness of the resurrection. Her encounter in the garden shows us that recognition comes when we hear the Good Shepherd call our name, prompting us to respond, "Rabbouni!".

The "good news" of Easter is not a complex explanation, but the exclamation of a personal encounter with the risen Lord . Following Mary's example, we are called to go out into the world and proclaim, "I have seen the Lord!"

Let us celebrate the courage to announce what we have seen and heard that the tomb is empty!.

Join us today, April 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM as we gather at 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲 to honor the sacrifice of our Savior. Our service will focus on the Seven Last Sayings of Jesus, reflecting on the weight and beauty of his final words from the cross.

The sources remind us that Jesus is our 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗱, who protectively led his disciples to the garden one last time before willingly stepping out to lay down his life for his sheep. Even in the darkness of the crucifixion, we gather to listen for the voice that knows us each by name—the same voice that called to Lazarus and calls us into his light.

𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲: 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 🌿

This Good Friday, the sources invite us to linger in the garden just a little bit longer. In the Gospel of John, the garden is a unique and sacred setting for Jesus’s arrest, burial, and resurrection. It was a place where Jesus and his disciples often met over their three years together—a space filled with shared history and deep conversations.

As the 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐝, Jesus protectively keeps his disciples safely in the fold while he willingly steps out to face the cross, laying down his life just as he promised. Even as we enter the darkness of this day, we are reminded that he knows each of us by name. We listen for the same voice that called Lazarus to "come out!"—the voice that will one day call into our tombs as well.

Moving from Individualism to Spiritual Fullness 🍞🍷

Paul’s message to the Corinthians reminds us that the Lord’s Supper is never a “privatized affair.” While factions and divisions can pull us apart, the Table is a place where there is no room for cliques or contentions.

Jesus hosts this meal by offering his entire self—inviting us into a rhythm of participation and proclamation. We gather to be nourished so that we can go out and testify to his grace in our own lives.
