As a meaningful way to officially open the 2026 Youth activities, to give thanks for all the blessings received in 2025, and to celebrate Think Mahal na Patrona, the SJAP Commission on Youth held a Grand Taizé Prayer at the Parish Church yesterday, January 17, with Rev. Fr. Allen T. Arayan.

This prayer gathering became a moment of gratitude, reminding the youth of God’s faithfulness and the many blessings that guided them throughout the past year. United in prayer, they also asked for the grace to persevere in the Youth Ministry throughout the year, remaining steadfast, committed, and joyful in serving God and the Church as one community.

𝐒𝐉𝐀𝐏 𝐂𝐎𝐘 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐞, 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞

In the recently concluded Diocesan Youth Congress, where each Commission on Youth was evaluated based on year-round evangelization activities, the St. James the Apostle Parish Commission on Youth proudly ranked 3rd across the entire Diocese of Maasin—consisting of 50 parishes—and 2nd within the Immaculate Conception Vicariate of Hilongos.

This achievement is more than an award—it is an honor, a privilege, and a gift from God. It reflects the dedication, faith, and joyful service of every young heart committed to sharing His love.

None of this would have been possible without the endless grace and guidance of our Almighty God, the loving intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our patron St. James the Apostle, and the youthful zeal of St. Pedro Calungsod, who continually inspire us to walk in faith and courage.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Allen T. Arayan, the Parish Pastoral Council, Chapel Presidents, generous parents, and sponsors. Thank you for offering your time, resources, and unwavering support—each contribution has been a blessing that helped carry our mission forward.

Above all, to our beloved Youth: you are the living hope of the Church. Continue to serve with passion, persevere through every challenge, and keep your hearts burning with love for God.
