A blessed Sunday from St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Tapuac, Masinloc! ⛪✨

In today's Gospel reading (Matthew 13:44-46), we reflect on the beautiful parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl of Great Price. Jesus reminds us that the Kingdom of Heaven is of such immeasurable value that, once found, it brings a joy that inspires us to give our all to possess it.

Take a moment today to reflect: What is the true treasure you are seeking in this life? As Matthew 6:21 reminds us, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
May we all continue seeking, finding, and rejoicing in the ultimate prize of His love and grace. Have a peaceful and blessed week ahead! 🙏📖

🙏 Lord, I Need You 🙏

"Lord, I need You, oh, I need You. Every hour, I need You. My one defense, my righteousness—Oh God, how I need You."

In every season of life—whether in joy, uncertainty, or trials—we are reminded that our greatest strength is found in God's presence. May this prayer be the cry of our hearts as we seek His grace, mercy, and unfailing love each day.

We invite you to pause, pray, and draw near to the Lord, for He is always ready to receive those who come to Him in faith.

May Christ continue to be our hope, our refuge, and our peace.

Blessings from St. John the Divine Episcopal Church.

Today, our Sunday School children expressed their creativity through art inspired by Matthew 13:24–30, 36–43 the Parable of the Weeds. 🌿

As they drew and colored, they also learned a beautiful lesson: God sees every heart, and He calls us to keep growing in goodness, love, and faith. Even when we see wrong things around us, we trust God to do what is right in His perfect time.

Thank you to all our wonderful children for your joyful participation, and to Teacher Julius for sharing God's Word with love and patience.

May these little hands continue to create beautiful things, and may these young hearts continue to grow closer to Jesus every day.

"Sa lahat ng pampaswerte, sa dasal lang ako naniniwala."

In a world full of uncertainties, our greatest source of hope, strength, and peace is found not in luck, but in God through prayer. Every sincere prayer draws us closer to Him, reminding us that His grace is always sufficient and His love never fails.

"Huwag kayong mabalisa sa anumang bagay; sa halip, iparating sa Diyos ang inyong mga kahilingan sa pamamagitan ng panalangin at pagsusumamo na may pasasalamat."
— Filipos 4:6

May this message inspire us to trust God completely, seek Him daily, and place our faith in His perfect will.

God bless us all.

One day, the days of serving will
become memories.

The moments we spend at the altar.

The prayers we offer, the songs we sing.
And the little acts of service we give to
God will become precious reminders of His grace working through us.

So value every moment while you still can.

Never take for granted the privilege of
serving in the Church, because every opportunity to serve is a gift from God.

What may seem like a simple duty today may become a beautiful memory of love, faith, and devotion tomorrow.

There will come a time when we will look back and remember the days when we stood before the altar, served with joy, and gave our time for the Lord.

May we cherish these moments and offer our best, not for recognition, but because we love Jesus.

Serve with a grateful heart, pray with sincerity, and treasure every moment God allows you to be part of His mission.

The memories we create in serving Him will always remind us of the beautiful journey of faith He has given us.🤍😇

🌱 Our Hearts: The Soil, Christ: The Seed

Every human heart is searching for something:
Peace. Purpose. Love. Fulfillment.

Too often we look for these in temporary things — trends, approval, busy schedules — only to find they never fully satisfy. St. Augustine reminds us: “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You.”

Jesus tells us in the Parable of the Sower:
The seed is the Word of God — the very love and life our souls long for — scattered generously on every kind of ground:

- 🛤️ On the path: Snatched away before it takes root, when worries and distractions keep us from pausing to listen.

- 🪨 On rocky ground: Springs up fast but withers quickly, when we welcome God yet fall away at the first sign of struggle or doubt.

- 🌿 Among thorns: Choked by anxieties, greed, and chasing after what does not last.

- ✨ On good soil: Takes deep root, grows strong, and bears fruit — thirty, sixty, even a hundredfold.

That deepest rest our hearts crave? It is found only in Christ. And He stays with us still — especially in the Holy Eucharist, where He plants Himself fully in our hearts, if only we make space for Him.

Let us till the soil of our hearts: clear away the stones, pull out the thorns, and receive Him — not just as a visitor, but as the One we’ve been searching for all along. 🙏

“Blessed are they who hear the word of God and keep it.” — Luke 8:15
