He championed for social justice, welcome those who departed from the Church, open doors for dialogue with other faiths, he built bridges between cultures and religion.
He opened the doors of mercy for the sinners, downtrodden, the hurting, and the lost. He called all those who left to come back in communion. He sent message of love, hope, and reconciliation.
He fought indifference, injustice, discrimination not with violence but with principles and prayers. He loved the sick, the abandoned, the dying, and weak.
He not only preached the gospel, but practiced its spirit by making positive actions and called for global action. He called out on powerful for the injustices they perpetrated.
He cared and prayed for his flock just like how St. Peter did as commanded by Jesus.
