Yesterday’s Sunday Service was truly remarkable as we learned from the Parable of the Ten Virgins in Matthew 25:1–13. A powerful reminder to stay ready, stay faithful, and keep our lamps burning as we wait for the coming of our Bridegroom, Jesus. 🕊️🔥

Every moment was a reminder that church is more than just a gathering. It is a family growing together in Christ.

JESUS’ RETURN IS ON AN ORDINARY DAY. ⏳

Last Sunday, Pastor Shem reminded us through Matthew 24:36–42 that Jesus will return at a time we do not expect. Just as in the days of Noah, people continued with their ordinary routines—eating, drinking, working, and living—until the moment came.

The danger is not living an ordinary life. The danger is living an ordinary life without God. When our hearts become spiritually apathetic, we can become so busy with everyday things that we forget to live ready for Christ.

Serving God is not always easy.

There will be distractions, battles, moments of fear, and times when we feel like giving up. But true service means choosing to keep running, keep trusting, and finish the race God has entrusted to us.

Don’t be afraid to begin. Practice courage. Turn away from sin and draw near to God. Most importantly, set your eyes on Jesus.

When we listen to Him and follow where He leads, we can face every battle with faith because He is with us.
Don’t just run. Finish it.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7 ❤️‍🔥

RECOGNIZE THE SIGNS AND STAY READY ✊🏻

In Matthew 24:32–35, Jesus teaches us to recognize the signs and stay ready. As we wait for His coming, we are reminded that this world will pass away, but His words will never pass away. Our response is not fear, but faithful readiness, trusting His words and living them out every day.

Let us build our lives around what will last: Jesus and His Word. 🙏

𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀: 𝘈 𝘏𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘭𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘸 𝟤𝟦:𝟥𝟤–𝟥𝟧 ✝️🔥

After every preaching, we huddle to reflect and meditate on the Word of God, allowing the truth of Scripture to point us back to Christ. Through our huddle, we encourage one another to take seriously what Jesus has spoken and respond with faith and obedience.

May we keep our eyes on Christ, remain watchful, and faithfully live according to His Word as we wait for His coming. His Word remains, and His promises never fail.

𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗔 𝗙𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗧 🔥

Yesterday’s Discipleship Class reminded us that following Jesus is more than simply knowing His Word. God calls us to live a life that reflects our relationship with Him. As Deuteronomy 10:12–13 teaches, there are things God requires from those who follow Him.

𝟭. 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗚𝗢𝗗
To fear God is to revere, respect, and honor Him by knowing who He truly is. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

𝟮. 𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞 𝗜𝗡 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦
Following Christ means putting His Word into action. We are not called to merely listen, but to live out what He says.

𝟯. 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗗 𝗪𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗘𝗗𝗟𝗬
A true follower of Christ loves God and serves Him with all their heart and soul, not only when it is convenient or easy.

𝟰. 𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗬 𝗚𝗢𝗗
Obedience is an expression of our love for Him. As Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commands.”
And why do we do all these things? Not to earn God’s love, but because God has already loved and chosen His people. We obey because we have been loved by God.

May we not only call ourselves followers of Christ, but live as true disciples who fear God, walk in His ways, love and serve Him wholeheartedly, and obey His Word.
This is what it means to follow Jesus. ❤️‍🔥

The Church is not simply a place we go to every Sunday. It is the body of Christ, a community called to live for Him, serve Him, and carry His mission.

If Christ gave Himself for the Church, how should we respond?

The Church is Christ’s priority. May it also become our priority—not because of a building, but because we love Christ and desire to see His name glorified.

Christ will come again. His return is not something we should ignore or take lightly. As Pastor Shem reminds us, understanding the reality of the end should radically change how we live in the present.

The Second Coming calls us to look beyond the temporary, appreciate the grace of God, and live with holiness and devotion as we wait for the coming of our King. Jesus is coming with power and glory, and He will gather His people.

𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴? 👑

Let this message remind us to be part of the Church, take part in its mission, and live faithfully while we wait for Christ’s return.
