What are you willing to sacrifice for God's glory?

At times, it can be difficult to give, especially when we ourselves are in need. We often assume that others are far more equipped to be a blessing than we are.

This Sunday, as we continue our series, we will examine biblical figures whom God used powerfully despite their limitations.

True generosity does not require material wealth or abundance; it is rooted entirely in the posture of the heart. Even with the little you have, entrusting it to God allows Him to multiply it beyond measure. He blessed them, and He desires to use you as well.

Obedience to God can truly lead us to extraordinary things. There are so many things beyond our understanding, and it is He who will move in our lives.

May we all have the obedience that Simon had. Even if things do not make sense on our end, let us learn to surrender and obey the One who knows and has everything.

What are the things you want to surrender to the Lord?

What are you willing to give up so that you can more freely follow His will for your life?

The Lord does not need the material things you possess; He wants to meet you, and our response should reflect our faith in Him. Remember, obedience is a reflection of our faith in the Lord. Let us be eager to obey His will and plan of in our lives.

Without a clear purpose, you have no foundation on which to base your decisions, allocate your time, and use your resources. You will tend to make choices based on circumstances, pressures, and your mood at the moment. People who do not know their purpose try to do too much—and that causes stress, fatigue, and conflict (Rick Warren in his book The Purpose Driven Life).

Knowing your purpose and focusing on what matters most makes life easier, less worrisome, and simpler.

Luke 10:41-42 - “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Martha was busy with many things, while Mary chose the "one thing." Sometimes we do so much... just like Martha—busy, stressed, yet still lacking peace.

This Sunday, we will look at Mary's example and what she did when Jesus came: she sat at the Lord’s feet to listen to His word. Come as we answer the question, "What does the Lord really want for your life this August?"

Genesis 12:1 - The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

God didn’t give Abraham a map. He gave him a Promise.

We want the full plan. But God asks for full trust.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Let’s close July by giving God the last part: Our Future.

When Nehemiah heard that the walls of Jerusalem were broken down and its gates burned, he didn’t just sit in despair—he wept, prayed, and took action. He stepped out of his comfort zone, left his position, and rallied a broken, discouraged people to rebuild their city against all odds, facing fierce opposition every step of the way.

Just like Nehemiah, let us put our faith into action.

No matter where God has placed you right now—whether you're navigating the halls of a school/university, building a career, running a business, or serving within your family—that exact space is not an accident. It is your mission field.

When a God-given burden meets a willing heart, transformation happens. Don't just watch from the sidelines. Let Him use you right where you are.
