THE FIELDS ARE WHITE FOR HARVEST

John 4:5-19, 31-38

Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well and used the image of water to reveal a greater spiritual truth. The water He offers is not physical but spiritual—it satisfies the deepest thirst of the human soul. Through this encounter, Jesus also taught His disciples that while people seek temporary satisfaction, the true work of God is to bring souls into His Kingdom. The harvest is ready, and believers are called to become faithful laborers.

WHAT DOES JESUS TEACH US?

JESUS IS THE LIVING WATER (John 4:10-14)

The water Jesus offers is not ordinary water. Physical water satisfies only for a moment, but the Living Water gives eternal life. Every person has a spiritual thirst that cannot be filled by the things of this world. Only a relationship with Jesus can truly satisfy the soul.

OUR FULFILLMENT IS FOUND IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD (John 4:15-26)

The Samaritan woman came looking for water, but she found the Messiah. Jesus revealed that true worship is not about a place or tradition, but about knowing God and worshiping Him in spirit and truth. Our greatest need is not physical satisfaction but a personal relationship with Christ.

OUR BREAD IS TO DO THE WILL OF GOD (John 4:31-34)

When the disciples urged Jesus to eat, He replied, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work." Just as food sustains the body, doing God's will should sustain the life of every believer. Our greatest purpose is found in obeying and serving Him.

THE HARVEST IS READY NOW (John 4:35)

Jesus challenged His disciples not to delay the work of God. While they were thinking about a future harvest, Jesus declared that the fields were already white for harvest. There are many people ready to hear the Gospel today, and we are called to respond with urgency.

WE ARE CALLED TO BE END-TIME HARVESTERS (John 4:36-38)

Jesus promised that those who labor in His harvest will receive a reward, gather fruit that lasts for eternal life, and rejoice together with those who sowed before them. We continue the work of those who faithfully shared God's Word before us, and now we are called to reap the harvest for His Kingdom.

CONCLUSION

Matthew 9:35-38

Jesus saw the crowds and was moved with compassion because they were like sheep without a shepherd. He said, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few." Therefore, we must pray that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into His harvest.

As followers of Christ, we are called to drink from the Living Water, find our satisfaction in God's presence, and dedicate our lives to His work. The harvest is ready. The question is, will we answer His call?

𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆

𝐷𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐽𝑒𝑠𝑢𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑏𝑎𝑐𝑘 𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑖𝑛？

𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟏𝟗:𝟏𝟏-𝟐𝟔

Jesus told the Parable of the Minas to teach His disciples that although He would leave for a time, He would one day return as King. Before leaving, He entrusted His servants with a mina and expected them to faithfully use what was given to them until His return.

𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐑 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑

1．𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑭𝑰𝑹𝑺𝑻 𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑽𝑨𝑵𝑻 𝑾𝑨𝑺 𝑭𝑨𝑰𝑻𝑯𝑭𝑼𝑳 (𝐿𝑢𝑘𝑒 19:16-17)

The first servant used his mina and gained ten more. Because of his faithfulness, the master rewarded him with authority over ten cities.

This servant represents believers who wholeheartedly serve God and faithfully use the gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities entrusted to them. They understand that everything they have belongs to God and should be used for His glory.

2. 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑺𝑬𝑪𝑶𝑵𝑫 𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑽𝑨𝑵𝑻 𝑾𝑨𝑺 𝑨𝑳𝑺𝑶 𝑭𝑨𝑰𝑻𝑯𝑭𝑼𝑳 (𝐿𝑢𝑘𝑒 19:18-19)

The second servant gained five minas from the one entrusted to him. Although his results were different from the first servant, he was still rewarded by the master and given authority over five cities.

This servant reminds us that God does not compare His servants with one another. He rewards faithfulness, not competition. What matters is not how much we accomplish compared to others, but whether we are faithful with what God has given us.

3. 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑹𝑫 𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑽𝑨𝑵𝑻 𝑾𝑨𝑺 𝑼𝑵𝑭𝑨𝑰𝑻𝑯𝑭𝑼𝑳 (𝐿𝑢𝑘𝑒 19:20-26)

The third servant hid his mina in a cloth and did nothing with it. Instead of serving his master, he made excuses and acted out of fear. As a result, he lost what was entrusted to him and was rebuked by the master.

This servant represents those who neglect God's calling, waste opportunities, or refuse to use what God has entrusted to them. Knowing the master was not enough; he was expected to be faithful and obedient.

𝑊𝐻𝐴𝑇 𝐼𝑆 𝑇𝐻𝐸 𝐿𝐸𝑆𝑆𝑂𝑁 𝐹𝑂𝑅 𝑈𝑆?

The first servant earned ten minas. The second servant earned five minas. The third servant earned nothing.

The difference was not in what they received, for all three were entrusted with the same mina. The difference was in what they did with it.

One day Jesus will return, and every believer will give an account of how they used the gifts, talents, opportunities, and responsibilities He entrusted to them.

𝐶𝑂𝑁𝐶𝐿𝑈𝑆𝐼𝑂𝑁：

The Faith That Transforms

GREAT I AM

John 8:58 “Jesus said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.’”
The phrase “I AM” is the name by which God revealed Himself. Through the Gospel of John, Jesus declared seven “I AM” statements, revealing that He is not merely a teacher or prophet, but God Himself. These statements show His divine nature and His relationship with those who believe in Him.

WHO IS THE GREAT I AM?

I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE (John 6:35)
Jesus is the Bread that came down from heaven. Just as physical bread sustains the body, Jesus gives eternal life to those who believe in Him. The world cannot satisfy the deepest hunger of the soul, but Christ alone can fill the emptiness within us and give us everlasting life.

I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD (John 8:12; 9:5)
Before knowing Christ, we walk in spiritual darkness and blindness. Jesus is the Light of the World who reveals the truth and leads us into righteousness. Those who follow Him will no longer walk in darkness but will have the light of life.

I AM THE DOOR (John 10:7,9)
Jesus declared that He is the Door. He is the only entrance to salvation and eternal life. No religion, tradition, good works, or human effort can save us. Christ alone is the way through which we enter into God's kingdom.

I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD (John 10:11,14)
Jesus is the Good Shepherd who loves, protects, and guides His sheep. He willingly laid down His life for us. As His sheep, we are called to hear His voice, follow His leading, and trust in His care and protection.

I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE (John 11:25)
Jesus has power over death and the grave. Through His resurrection, He conquered death and offers eternal life to all who believe in Him. Even in the midst of suffering and loss, believers have hope because Christ is the Resurrection and the Life.

I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE (John 14:6)
Jesus is the only way to the Father. He is the truth that sets people free and the source of eternal life. In a world filled with confusion and deception, Christ remains the only perfect standard of truth and the only path to salvation.

I AM THE TRUE VINE (John 15:1,5)
Jesus is the True Vine, and believers are the branches. A branch cannot bear fruit unless it remains connected to the vine. In the same way, apart from Christ we can do nothing. Those who abide in Him receive strength, spiritual growth, and the ability to produce fruit that glorifies God.

CONCLUSION:
The seven “I AM” statements reveal the identity of Jesus Christ as God and Savior. He is the Bread that satisfies, the Light that guides, the Door to salvation, the Shepherd who cares for His sheep, the Resurrection who conquers death, the Way to the Father, and the True Vine who gives life. In a world searching for answers, Jesus remains everything we need. May we continue to follow Him, abide in Him, and trust Him as the Great I AM.

We thank God for a blessed time of corporate prayer as we united in faith and interceded for our Nation 🇵🇭, the Church ⛪, our Families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, and the upcoming Glory School Event on June 6-7, 2026 at Maycauayan KAPCM Church.

May the prayers lifted before the Lord bring transformation, revival, protection, and the manifestation of His glory in every area of our lives.
