GOD’S SOVEREIGN GRACE | THE POTTER & THE CLAY

Romans 9 reminds us that God is the Potter, and we are the clay. He has the sovereign right to shape us according to His purpose and for His glory.

What can we learn about God’s Sovereign Grace?

• 🏺 THE CREATOR — His Sovereign Right to Shape
God is the Lord and Ruler of all creation. He has the right to mold and shape us according to His purpose.

• ❤️ THE COMPASSION — His Sovereign Mercy
Though we are sinners and deserving of judgment, God patiently endured and showed mercy. Through His grace, we become objects of His mercy, prepared for His glory.

• 🌍 THE CALLING — His Sovereign Mission
God's calling extends beyond one people or nation. He calls the nations, reaches the lost, and preserves a remnant of those who believe.

🙏 THE BIG IDEA:
God, in His sovereignty, has the power to choose, save, and give His grace and mercy. Our responsibility is to humble ourselves, believe, and submit ourselves to Him.

🏺 We are the clay. He is the Potter.
May we trust His hands, surrender to His will, and allow Him to shape our lives for His purpose and His glory.

✨ GOD’S SOVEREIGN GRACE — HE CHOSE YOU
📖 Romans 9:10–16

Have you ever wondered, “Why me, Lord?”
The answer is not because you were good enough, worked hard enough, or deserved it. It is because of His sovereign grace. ❤️

1. GOD’S ELECTION – ISRAEL
God chooses according to His purpose—not human merit.
➡️ You are part of His purpose.

2. GOD’S CHOICE – ISAAC
God’s promise comes before our works.
➡️ His grace is not something you earn.

3. GOD’S MERCY – THE GENTILES
His mercy is not based on our desire, effort, or deeds.
➡️ You are saved because He chose to show mercy.

đź’ˇ CONCLUSION
God’s sovereignty humbles our pride and magnifies His grace. So, instead of asking, “Why did God choose me?” let us ask, “How can I live faithfully because He chose me?”

🙏 Be thankful. Stay humble. Serve Him faithfully.

Message Title: GOD IS FOR US (FOREVER IN HIS LOVE) ❤️
Scripture: ROMANS 8:31-39

A powerful reminder from yesterday's preaching that because God is for us, we can face every challenge with confidence and faith.

• No persecution can defeat us — God Himself is with us and for us. Through Christ, we are made more than conquerors.

• No condemnation can fall upon us — Christ paid our debt through His death, justified us, and intercedes for us.

• No separation can divide us — No circumstance, person, power, or anything in creation can separate us from God’s love in Christ Jesus.

Whatever we face, we can stand firm: God is with us, God is for us, and His love is forever. 🙏❤️

Message Title: FROM GROANING TO GLORY (NO PAIN, NO GAIN)
Scripture: ROMANS 8:28-30

1. The Challenge – Earthly Life.
We all experience suffering—whether because of sin, our own choices, other people, or simply living in a fallen world. Even creation itself is described as groaning, waiting for restoration. But Paul reminds us that our present sufferings are not worth comparing to the glory God has prepared for us.

2. The Confidence – Life in the Spirit.
We don't go through life's struggles alone. The Holy Spirit gives us freedom, strengthens us, intercedes for us when we don't know how to pray, and enables us to keep hoping while we wait. Our confidence is in the Spirit—not in our own strength.

3. The Conclusion – Life of Completion.
Romans 8:28–30 reminds us that God has a complete plan for His children. He foreknew us, predestined us to become like Christ, called us, justified us, and will glorify us. God always finishes what He starts, and He never wastes our suffering—it is part of shaping us into Christ's image.

Takeaway:�No matter what we're facing today, let's remember: our suffering is temporary, THE HOLY SPIRIT HELPS US IN OUR JOURNEY; OUR FUTURE GLORY IS FOR ETERNITY.
