Buying a memorial lot in the Philippines is ultimately an investment.
The lot's value will inevitably increase over time. You can keep it. You can sell it. You can use it.

If you choose to keep it, your family will worry a little bit less because you've prepared for something that no one can avoid. If you choose to sell it, you can use the profit to invest in something else, still for your family.

I know most of you want to do small-time investing. Well, today, I'll share one of the simplest ways I silently make money on the side.

One of the best (small) investments I do is buying and selling memorial lots.

I flipped many memorial lots since 2013 and it has made me really good money.

Here's what I do: I buy memorial lots, pay straight, no interest, pay it off in two years or less, sell it for 20-60% profit.

You have the option to pay around P1,800-P2,500/month for 2 years, or P800-900 every month for 4-5 years.

The first lot I flipped, I paid P28,500 total, and then sold it for P43,000 in two years. The buyer was even so thankful to me, because the at-need price for that as at P50k and they saved a lot of money.

Here are important things to know:
1. Everyone dies, and when we (or our loved ones) do, we always prefer a private lot in a private memorial. Knock on wood, but reality is reality.
2. Price for at-need lots (meaning, the burial will take place right away), is already at P57-77K.
3. If you paid around P48k total and sell it for P60k when the at-need is P70k, you make money, and help people ease their expenses when their loved ones pass.
4. If you have 10-20k now that you want to invest, you can make the flip / income faster. You can assume some lots, or pay a good lot in less than 1 year.
5. Know that thing they say about multiple streams of income? This is one of mine. And it's so non-stressful, and the concept is easy to understand.

Buying memorial lots are assumed to be common knowledge since death is dealt with as much as with living, but this has been proven otherwise. Better to expect the unexpected.
