Sunday is happening, and worship is in full swing.

Right now, we’re being reminded of the Beatitudes from Matthew 5:3–12—a passage that flips the usual definition of “blessed” upside down. Blessed are the poor in spirit. Blessed are the meek. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Not exactly the world’s idea of winning, but very much God’s.

It’s a timely reminder that God meets us not when we have it all together, but when we come honestly, humbly, and ready to listen.

We’re grateful for the meaningful Christmas worship celebration we had yesterday at the Church of Christ in Marikina. It was a joyful time of worship and reflection as we remembered the true reason for the season—God’s love revealed to us.

As 1 John 4:9 reminds us, “This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.”
