Saint of the Day | Saint Felipe Neri
May 26, 2026

Prayer: Saint Philip Neri, through deep prayer God transformed you and filled your heart with the gift of divine joy. You shared that gift with countless others, drawing many to the love of God. Please pray for me, that I may also be filled with the joy that permeated your heart so that I will be a holy instrument of God’s love. Saint Philip Neri, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You.

SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO TO ROME

Today, we were deeply blessed to visit the shrine of Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo and the Lanciano Cathedral ( site of Eucharistic Miracle)—two sacred places that profoundly echo the witness of faith, sacrifice, prayer, and holiness throughout the centuries.

On the Solemnity of Pentecost, Fr. Joselito Santos presided over the Eucharistic Celebration. Borrowing the words of — “Pray, hope, and do not worry” — Fr. Santos reminded his brother priests that God is already at work through the sacraments. The same Holy Spirit who transformed the Apostles and all the saints continues to work in us, His priests.

Prayer strengthens us in ministry. We cannot give what we do not have; thus, we must remain constantly united with God in prayer. Prayer sustains us, draws us closer to God, and becomes the very life of every priest of Christ.

Hope reminds us not to rely solely on our own strength, but on the power of the Holy Spirit at work within us. In moments of despair, people often turn to priests seeking guidance and encouragement. Therefore, our lives must radiate hope so that we, too, may become instruments of hope for others.

Do not worry. We hold firmly to the promise of Jesus that He will send the Holy Spirit to guide, strengthen, and defend us in our most difficult battles. As the Lord teaches us, “Let tomorrow worry about itself.”

May the Holy Spirit continue to bring renewal, strength in moments of weakness, and light in times of darkness. Like Padre Pio, may we surrender ourselves to God each day and render faithful service to His people.

Saint of the Day | Saint Gregory VII, Pope
May 25, 2026

Prayer:
Pope Saint Gregory, you were a valiant defender of the God-given authority bestowed upon the Church, especially upon the papacy. You sought to reform the Church and free it from the corruption that was tearing it apart. Pray for me, that I will always be open to the reform of my own soul and will respond to God’s will to help the Church in her continuous need for purification. Pope Saint Gregory VII, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You.

MAY 25 | Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church

Indeed, the Mother standing beneath the cross (cf. Jn 19:25), accepted her Son’s testament of love and welcomed all people in the person of the beloved disciple as sons and daughters to be reborn unto life eternal. She thus became the tender Mother of the Church which Christ begot on the cross handing on the Spirit. Christ, in turn, in the beloved disciple, chose all disciples as ministers of his love towards his Mother, entrusting her to them so that they might welcome her with filial affection. ~From the Decree of the Congregation of Divine Worship adding the Memorial of Mary, Mother of the Church to the General Roman Calendar.

Prayer:
Most glorious Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, to you I entrust myself just as Jesus entrusted John to your care. Receive me as your spiritual child, and nurture me with your Son’s divine grace. Thank you for your “Yes” to the Father’s plan, for your life, and for your continuous “Yes” through time and eternity. May my “Yes” echo yours as I surrender fully to God’s plan. Mother Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You.

Saint Christopher Magallanes, Priest and Martyr and Companions, Martyrs

Prayer: Saint Christopher Magallanes and Companions, you chose to die rather than give in to atheistic and anti-Catholic oppression. You valued the Catholic faith over your own lives. Please pray for me, that I will have the courage you each had so that I can give witness to my love of God, even to the shedding of my blood. Saint Christopher Magallanes and Companions, pray for me.
