𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝟒:𝟏𝟑–𝟏𝟓 | 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟐𝟗:𝟏𝟏

We often plan our lives with confidence—where we’ll go, what we’ll do, how long we’ll stay, and what we will gain. But James reminds us of a simple truth: we don’t control tomorrow.

We plan, but God directs.

Divine alignment is not about stopping movement—it’s about correcting direction. Because even if you are moving, if you are not aligned with God, you may end up far from where you are meant to be.

God cares about every detail of your life:

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 — when things should happen
𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 — where you are called to be
𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — when to wait and when to move
𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 — how you use your gifts
𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 — what truly matters in the end

The world teaches us to rush, compare timelines, and chase success. But Scripture reminds us: “He makes everything beautiful in His time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Alignment requires surrender.

It means letting God take the wheel—not just as a passenger, but as the One who leads. It means offering your skills, plans, and ambitions for His glory, not just your own gain.

Because here’s the truth:
𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞.
𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞.

Jonah tried to run from God’s direction, but God’s purpose remained. Even when we delay or detour, God’s plan still stands—He patiently waits for us to realign.

“For I know the plans I have for you…” (Jeremiah 29:11)

So instead of saying, “This is my plan,”
let your prayer be:

“𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝, 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞.”

Because when your life aligns with God, you may not know what tomorrow holds—but you will never be lost.

In a room full of people, a woman stepped forward—uninvited, unashamed, and completely surrendered. She carried an alabaster box, something valuable, something personal, something tied to her future. And in one moment, she broke it at the feet of Jesus.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩.

We all carry our own “glory”—our achievements, reputation, possessions, relationships, and even the things we take pride in. These are not always wrong, but when they take the place of God, they become a hindrance to His glory in our lives.

Jesus does not force His way into our lives. He waits to be invited.

“Come to me…” (Matthew 11:28)
The invitation is open to all.

𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐢𝐦 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥—𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭. And when Jesus truly enters our “temple,” He begins to change things. He may ask us to lay down what we once held onto. He may lead us to break what we once protected.

Like the woman, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬.

The world teaches us to build, to keep, to secure everything for ourselves. But Jesus teaches the opposite:

“Whoever wants to save their life will lose it…” (Luke 9:24)

True life is found in surrender.

The woman broke generational value for something eternal. What she gave up became a testimony remembered across the world. What she lost in the natural, she gained in eternal significance.

So the question is not what you have.
The question is: 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧?

Because when we release our glory, we make room for His.

And His glory is the only one that lasts.
