PABATID | Bilang paghahanda sa darating na 𝗠𝗶𝘆𝗲𝗿𝗸𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗯𝗼 (𝗔𝘀𝗵 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆) sa ika-18 ng Pebrero, maaari na po ninyong dalhin ang inyong mga lumang palaspas sa Opisina ng ating Parokya.

Ang mga palaspas na ito ay gagamitin sa paghahanda ng abong ipapahid sa ating noo bilang tanda ng ating pagsisisi at taos-pusong pagbabalik-loob sa Diyos.

Maraming salamat po sa inyong pakikiisa. Nawa’y maging makahulugan at mapagpala ang ating paglalakbay sa Panahon ng Kuwaresma.

📌Saint Agatha’s Story
Similar to Saint Agnes, another virgin-martyr from the early Church, there is little historical certainty surrounding Saint Agatha, aside from the fact that she was martyred in Sicily during Emperor Decius's persecution in 251.

According to legend, Agatha was arrested for her Christian faith, subjected to torture, and sent to a brothel, where she was mistreated but remained untouched before ultimately being executed.

Saint Agatha is venerated as the patroness of both Palermo and Catania. Following her death, the calming of a Mt. Etna eruption was attributed to her intercession, leading people to seek her prayers for protection against fire.

The Nativity of Our Lady Parish stands in solidarity with our brethren who were affected by the recent fire. As reported by the LGU representative, 180 individuals from 45 families were affected, some of whom are dedicated church workers of our parish.

We humbly ask everyone to pray for them in this difficult time.

In response, our parish will be organizing a donation drive for the victims of the fire. Any form of help—monetary or in-kind, especially basic and immediate necessities—will be deeply appreciated.

Let us come together as one family, extending compassion and hope, and helping our community rise again.
