Good day, SGOLSP parishioners!

We have two situations in the parish on this Christmas Eve --

1.) We are saddened by the passing of Ate Rheza Acain, Head of Mother Butlers Guild. Let us pray for the eternal repose of her soul. Her wake is at St Peter Chapel in Nangka and those who want to sympathize with the family may visit her remains. We thank her for her years of service to the parish.

2.) There was a fire incident last night in Purok 3, Zone 9, Brgy. Cupang. The victims are our parishioners residing at the other side of Villa Grande Chapel. Austin Rico, a four year-old boy died in the incident and 19 families were left homeless.

As shepherds of this parish, we have decided to invite all parishioners to extend our deepest condolences and show our solidarity with them. Fr. Marvin will preside over a mass at Ate Rheza's wake at 1 PM today, together with the MBG members. At 6 PM, I will preside over the Christmas Eve mass with the fire victims at the evacuation center, together with the Social Action Ministry and BEC team.

Aside from our pamaskong handog for them, I am calling for other donations like medicine and extra clothing. You may bring your donations to the parish office. More importantly, I ask for everyone's prayers for them to remain resilient and hopeful.

Many thanks for your being charitable and responsive! Our embrace to them as a parish would make their Christmas a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

On the fourth week of Advent, we light the final purple candle to mark the final week of prayer and penance as we wait for the birth of our Savior. This final candle, the β€œAngel’s Candle,” symbolizes Love. It reminds us that God is Love.
