The Nativity of Our Lady Parish

The Nativity of Our Lady Parish The Nativity of Our Lady Parish is under the Diocese of Antipolo. Feast day is September 8. By 1992 the Parish was established by the Most Reverend Protocio G.

From having a humble thatched nipa roof and coconut palm fronds as walls, the need arose for growing families to have a place of worship and spiritual enrichment. The community began to pool in their time , talent and treasure and as the physical structure arose, originally part of the string of Chapels that comprised the Parish of San Jose Manggagawa in Taรฑong, then supervised by the Jesuits unde

r the Diocese of Antipolo. Gungon (First Bishop of Antipolo). The Diocese being a Marian Diocese, the Parish was named in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Maria Bambina. The first parish priest was the Rev. Fr. David Onilongo, followed by Rev. Uldarico Dioquino, then Rev Fr. Gervacio Evarola, Rev. Neil Vincent Tacbas, Rev. Joselito Rocero, then Rev Fr. Bembol Hiteroza. The present Parish Priest is the Rev. Father Cristopher Gonzales. The parish belongs to the Vicariate of Our Lady of the Abandoned in Marikina City with the current Catholic population of 27,843 from the four communities of Industrial Valley Subdivision, Olandes, Monte Vista and Cinco Hermanos.

Today, the Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Augustine of Hippo, Bishop and Doctor of the Church.

One of the greatest theologians and thinkers in Christian history, St. Augustine experienced a profound conversion after years of searching for truth and meaning. Through the grace of God and the prayers of his mother, St. Monica, he returned to the Catholic faith and dedicated the rest of his life to Christ and His Church.

As Bishop of Hippo, St. Augustine tirelessly served God's people through preaching, teaching, pastoral ministry, and defending the faith. His writings continue to guide generations of Christians in understanding God's grace, the human heart, and the beauty of a life transformed by Christ.

His life reminds us that no one is ever beyond the reach of God's mercy and that our restless hearts find true peace only in God.

May the example of St. Augustine inspire us to continually seek the truth, open our hearts to God's grace, and allow Christ to transform our lives.

St. Augustine of Hippo, pray for us!

Today, the Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Monica.

A devoted mother and woman of deep faith, St. Monica is remembered for her unwavering prayers and patient perseverance, especially for the conversion of her son, St. Augustine. Through years of trials and tears, she never ceased to trust in God's mercy and remained steadfast in prayer.

Her life is a beautiful witness to the power of persistent prayer, faithful love, and hope in God's providence. St. Monica reminds us that even when answers seem delayed, God is always at work in ways we may not immediately see.

May the example of St. Monica inspire us to persevere in prayer, remain faithful in times of difficulty, and entrust our loved ones and our deepest hopes to God's loving mercy.

St. Monica, pray for us!

Today, the Church celebrates the Memorial of St. Louis, King, and St. Joseph Calasanz, Priest.

St. Louis IX, King of France, was known for his deep faith, humility, and commitment to justice. As a ruler, he sought to govern with wisdom and charity, placing his service to God and the welfare of his people at the heart of his kingship. His life reminds us that leadership is a sacred responsibility rooted in truth, justice, and service.

St. Joseph Calasanz, a devoted priest and educator, dedicated his life to providing Christian education, especially for poor and marginalized children. Through his ministry, he recognized education as a powerful means of bringing children closer to God and helping them grow in wisdom and virtue.

Their lives remind us that holiness can be lived in different forms of service: through leadership, education, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to God and others.

May the examples of St. Louis and St. Joseph Calasanz inspire us to serve with humility, lead with justice, and use our gifts to build a community rooted in faith, charity, and hope.

St. Louis, King, and St. Joseph Calasanz, Priest, pray for us!

Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of St. Bartholomew, Apostle.

One of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus, St. Bartholomew, also known as Nathanael in the Gospel of John, responded to Christ's call with openness and faith. He followed Jesus faithfully and became a witness to His life, death, and Resurrection, proclaiming the Gospel with courage.

St. Bartholomew reminds us that encountering Christ transforms our hearts and calls us to share the Good News with others. His life challenges us to remain sincere in our faith, steadfast in our mission, and willing to follow Christ wherever He leads.

May the example of St. Bartholomew inspire us to deepen our relationship with Christ, proclaim the Gospel with courage, and become faithful witnesses of God's love in our communities.

St. Bartholomew, Apostle, pray for us!
