Our faith is not based on man's opinion. Our faith is based on the Word of God and the finished work of Jesus Christ.

If the foundation is weak, the building will eventually crack.

The same is true spiritually.

If our faith is based on:
feelings,
emotions,
other people's opinions,
experiences,
blessings,

then when trials come, we can easily fall.

But if our faith is built upon God's Word, we can stand.

Matthew 7:24 KJV
“Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.”

The question is not whether storms will come.

The question is:

Will we still be standing when the storm comes?

Academic achievement is important, but spiritual character is more important.

We can teach our children many things, but our greatest responsibility is to lead them to know God, love God, and walk with God.

Proverbs 4:23 KJV
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

A brilliant mind may bring success, but a heart surrendered to God brings wisdom, obedience, and a life that honors Him.

So let us not only ask, “What will my child become?”
Let us ask, “Will my child grow to know and serve the Lord?”

Let us educate the mind, but disciple the heart.
Let us prepare them for life, but most of all, prepare them for eternity.

The world may tell you to secure everything yourself, but Jesus tells you to seek first the kingdom of God.

Your circumstances may be horizontal, but your help comes from above.
