One of the most important ministries entrusted to every believer is evangelism.

Please pray for this upcoming Biblical Evangelism Seminar by NeedGodPH — that the Lord would bring those He desires to equip and that participants would grow in faithfulness and confidence in sharing the gospel.

May we learn to proclaim Christ in a way that exalts Him alone, trusting not in our methods, but in the power of God to save.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” — Romans 1:16

God is the sovereign ruler over all things, accomplishing everything He has decreed.

God opposes the proud because they place their confidence in man rather than in God.

Today, will you come against God in prideful rebellion, or will you come to Him in humility and repentance?

This whole chapter of Genesis 10 isn’t just moving forward, it is moving toward Someone, on purpose. The line of Shem leads to Eber, Eber to Abraham, and from Abraham — through every detour, every failure, every unexpected turn — comes Jesus Christ.

WHAT GENESIS 10 BEGINS, CHRIST BRINGS TO COMPLETION.

Jesus did not come merely to teach or inspire, HE CAME TO SAVE. At the cross, He dealt with the deepest problem in our lives, our sin against God and against one another. He took our guilt, bore our judgment, and made a way for us to be forgiven. Through Him, GOD IS NOT JUST PRESERVING A LINE, HE IS GATHERING A PEOPLE FROM EVERY NATION UNDER ONE LORD.

And at the Lord’s Table, we remember this: what was once scattered, God has now gathered in Christ. So let us not come holding on to our own identity or control, let us come needy, remembering: we belong because He brought us near...
.. Church, remember, we may belong to a nation, a family, even a church, and still not belong to Christ. Genesis 10 shows where we come from, but the Gospel shows where we must go: to Christ.

Look at the world around us. Nations flex their might—trusting in armies, invoking gods to justify violence, wielding weapons of mass destruction, and some even calling on the name of the Lord to serve their own ends—leaving us not with peace, but with deeper anxiety.

So, we ask the big question: When kingdoms rise, when cities expand, when human power reaches its height—who is truly on the throne?

Is history only a series of power struggles, or is there a higher King who rules over rulers? We feel that tension today.

As we turn to Ham's line, we will see this clearly: even when human power appears boundless, it is always bounded by the unchanging sovereignty of our great God.

Now, if this is what the text meant for Moses’ original audience:
"God sovereignly governs the rise of human kingdoms from Ham's line, even as they develop structures of power."

Then here is our main point for today:
"God remains sovereign over every human power, no matter how great it appears."

…so whether you are anxious about the world, or quietly building your own life on the illusion of control—the call is the same: "Submit to the King whose rule will never end."

Genesis 10 shows us that God is the One who spreads the nations—placing them in their lands, with their languages, and according to His sovereign will.

But when we read this in light of Genesis 9 and the whole story of Scripture, we see that this spreading is not the end.

God is not just scattering people across the earth—He is preparing them to be gathered into His covenant through Christ, where they will finally find their true home.

We live in a fallen and wicked world. A world where even the righteous are not beyond failure.

Genesis 9 reminds us that sin remains, and apart from God’s sustaining grace, none of us can stand on our own.

We can only place ourselves at the mercy and grace of the Lord for our survival in this broken world. There is no strength in self, no safety in pride, no security in our own righteousness.

That is why Scripture warns us: “Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall.” — 1 Corinthians 10:12

Our hope is not in ourselves, but in Christ alone, the One who preserves His people, the One who keeps us until the last day.

CBCM Retreat 2026 | Momarco, Tanay

CBCM’s anniversary falls every Resurrection Sunday, and for its 11th year, we went out of town for the weekend—grateful for how the Lord has sustained His church through the years.

What marked our time was not just the program, but the grace of God evident in our one-anothering.

Saturday was filled with joy—cheering competitions, games, and a night of music and fellowship. Sunday brought us to what matters most—Resurrection Sunday worship, sitting under the Word in Genesis 9, and communion together before breakfast, followed by our OneHFG —a sweet time of meals, recognition, and shared life.

And in between all these were unstructured moments the Lord used just as powerfully...time set aside for rest, conversations, prayer, and simply being present with one another.

We were reminded again:
God is a covenant-keeping God.

His promises are not dependent on us,
His faithfulness does not waver, and His love remains unchanged through the years.

We came as imperfect vessels, yet He sustained, gathered, and allowed us to witness His work among His people.

Now to the Lamb upon the throne, be blessing, honor, glory, power for the battle You have won! Hallelujah, amen!

A weekend celebration of CBCM's 11th Anniversary and Resurrection Sunday! Soli Deo Gloria!

Genesis 9 does not leave us only with judgment.

In the covenant that God establishes with Noah, He reveals yet another dimension of His character: God is faithful and merciful. Here we see His steadfast faithfulness and His abundant grace.

And we must understand this clearly—this covenant is more than a promise of preservation. It is a declaration that God remains committed to His redemptive purpose despite human sin.

God is holy and just, sovereign, faithful and merciful.
In this covenant, we see its scope, its security, its sign, its surety, and its seal—all grounded not in man, but in God Himself.

Go back to the promise in Genesis 3:15: that the Seed of the woman would come to crush the serpent.

The covenant with Noah ensures that history will continue…
that generations will rise and fall…
and that the line of promise will be preserved…
until that Redeemer finally appears.

A Blessed Resurrection Sunday!

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, — 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
