SUCCESSFUL MEETING OF THE IMAMS LEAGUE OF MARAWI CITY

We are pleased to announce the successful conduct of the Meeting of the Imams League of Marawi City, held under the leadership of our President, Sheikh Ulomoden Mamoransing.

The gathering took place at the Dra. Norma Mangondato Function Hall, Marawi City.

Our deepest gratitude goes to:

To all respected officers and members of the Imams League of Islamic City of Marawi — hope you are all in good health and high iman.

I often wonder: How are you all doing now? It has been quite some time, and so far, we still haven’t had the chance to meet and gather together as one league. I truly hope and pray that very soon we can arrange a meeting, sit together, share updates, and strengthen our bond for the sake of Allah and our community.

Also, a belated Happy Eidul Adha 2026 to every one of you! May Allah accept all your worship, sacrifices, and good deeds, and grant peace, prosperity, and blessings to Marawi and every family here.

This is to inform all Imams who have received certificates issued by the Imams League of Marawi City, signed by League President Sheikh Ulomoden Mamoransing, that the Pamumugayan will be held on February 28, 2026.

The event will take place at Loksadato Masjid, Barangay Moriatao, Loksadato, Marawi City. We strongly encourage everyone to arrive early to ensure smooth proceedings.

It is highly recommended that attendees perform the Dhohr prayer at Loksadato Masjid during the event. or 1pm in the afternoon.

𝐁𝐈𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐇𝐈 𝐑𝐀𝐇𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐇𝐄𝐄𝐌

In accordance with the teachings of Islam and the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we are announcing the procedure for determining the start of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 AH.

Dalil from Hadith:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Fast when you see the new moon of Ramadan and break the fast when you see the new moon of Shawwal. If the sky is cloudy, then complete thirty days." (Narrated by Abu Hurairah, Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Moon Sighting Announcement:
Our Ulama will be conducting the moon sighting this evening, February 17, 2026.

If the new moon is sighted, the first day of Ramadan will begin on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
If the new moon is not sighted, the first day of Ramadan will begin on Thursday, February 19, 2026.

We are also awaiting the official announcement from our BARMM Grand M***i, Sheikh Abdulrauf A. Guialani, whose decision will be final for the region.

Today, at the blessed grounds of Loksadato Masjid in Barangay, Moriatao Luksadato, Marawi City, the 1st Moltaqa of the Imams League of Marawi City was held with great fervor and unity, under the visionary leadership of our President, Sheikh Ulomoden Mamoransing.

We were honored to have distinguished special guests in attendance: Hon. MP James Macaraya and Hon. Abuaiman Dimapinto, whose presence underscored the importance of collaboration between religious leaders and public servants in advancing the welfare of our community.

The gathering brought together imams from across Marawi City to deliberate on matters close to our hearts—strengthening Islamic teachings, fostering harmony among believers, and contributing to the peace and progress of our beloved city. It was a day filled with meaningful discussions, heartfelt prayers, and a shared commitment to serving our people with wisdom and compassion.
