Lust

Lust is one of the things of the world. It's in the Bible, I John 2:16-17, NIV. "For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever."

Lust itself is a sinful behavior and is often used as an excuse for further sin. It's in the Bible, Matthew 5:28, TLB. "But I say: Anyone who even looks at a woman with lust in his eye has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

The lustful man will pay the consequences. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 6:25-29, NIV. "Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes, for the pr******te reduces you to a loaf of bread, and the adulteress preys upon your very life. Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned? Can a man walk on hot coals without his feet being scorched? So is he who sleeps with another man's wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished."

God's grace enables us to say no to lust. It's in the Bible, Titus 2:11-12, NIV. "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age."

Insults

What does Jesus say about reacting to those who insult us? It's in the Bible, Matthew 5:44, NKJV. "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you"

Our response to insults should be deliberate and controlled. It's in the Bible, Proverbs 12:16, TLB. "A fool is quick-tempered; a wise man stays cool when insulted."

We are to let go of bitternes, and forgive as Christ forgives us. It's in the Bible, Ephesians 4:31, NKJV. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."

Love makes no room for insulting others. It's in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:4-5, NKJV. "Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil"

How are we to speak to others? It's in the Bible, Ephesians 4:15-16, NKJV. "but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

Dating and S*x

What to avoid on dates. It's in the Bible, Romans 13:13, TLB. "Be decent and true in everything you do so that all can approve your behavior. Don't spend your time in wild parties and getting drunk or in adultery and lust, or fighting, or jealousy."

Dating should not include a s*xual relationship. It's in the Bible, I Corinthians 6:13,18, TLB. "But s*xual sin is never right: our bodies were not made for that, but for the Lord…That is why I say to run from s*x sin. No other sin affects the body as this one does. When you sin this sin it is against your own body."

Keep yourself pure. It's in the Bible, I John 3:3, TLB. "And everyone who really believes this will try to stay pure because Christ is pure."

To keep from hurting ourselves, s*xual desires and activities must be placed under Christ's control. It's in the Bible, I Thessalonians 4:3-5, TLB. "For God wants you to be holy and pure and to keep clear of all s*xual sin so that each of you will marry in holiness and honor—not in lustful passion as the heathen do, in their ignorance of God and his ways."

If you have already gone too far physically, what should you do? First, acknowledge your sin. It's in the Bible, Psalm 51:2-4, TLB. "Oh, wash me, cleanse me from this guilt. Let me be pure again. For I admit my shameful deed—it haunts me day and night."

Second, Ask forgiveness for your sin—God says you can start over again. It's in the Bible, Psalm 51:7-12, TLB. "Sprinkle me with the cleansing blood and I shall be clean again. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. And after You have punished me, give me back my joy again. Don't keep looking at my sins—erase them from Your sight. Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires. Don't toss me aside, banished forever from Your presence. Don't take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me again the joy of Your salvation, and make me willing to obey You."

Third, Believe that God has indeed forgiven you and quit feeling guilty. It's in the Bible, Psalm 32:1-6, TLB. "What happiness for those whose guilt has been forgiven! What joys when sins are covered over! What relief for those who have confessed their sins and God has cleared their record. There was a time when I wouldn't admit what a sinner I was. But my dishonesty made me miserable and filled my days with frustration. All day and all night Your hand was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water on a sunny day until I finally admitted all my sins to You and stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself, 'I will confess them to the Lord.' And You forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Now I say that each believer should confess his sins to God when he is aware of them, while there is time to be forgiven. Judgment will not touch him if he does. You are my hiding place from every storm of life; You even keep me from getting into trouble! You surround me with songs of victory."

Peace or pain?

Or sige naka’g survival mode?

Usahay, peace means staying and fixing things together.

You can love someone and still choose yourself.

You can miss someone and still choose distance.

You can care deeply and still say, “Dili na ni maayo para nako.”

Kay usahay, ang pinaka-brave nga decision dili ang magpabilin.

Ang pinaka-brave kay ang pagpili sa peace bisan ang imong heart gusto pa mo-hold on. 🤎

Only God Knows Your Secret Sins

"For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him." — 2 Chronicles 16:9

In a world filled with filters, facades, and curated reputations, it is easy to hide things from the people around us.
We can mask our struggles, smile through our pain, and keep our private mistakes securely locked away behind closed doors, there is a reality we must all confront with both reverence and comfort.Only God knows your secret sins.

"Cheating is a Sin—For Both Men and Women"

Adultery is a sin—for both husband and wife.

• Exodus 20:14 – “You shall not commit adultery.”

• Proverbs 6:32 – “But the man who commits adultery is an utter fool, for he destroys himself.”

To those who believe that a man has the right to cheat but should not tolerate it from his wife, where did you get that idea? Because it’s not scripture.

• Hebrews 13:4 – “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the s*xually immoral.”

Hebrews 13:4 cuts straight to the heart of God's design for marriage, leaving no room for double standards, loopholes, or cultural excuses.

✓Universal Accountability
The verse begins with a sweeping command: "Marriage should be honored by all." This is not a conditional instruction meant only for wives while husbands are granted a pass. The duty to honor the sacred covenant of marriage applies equally to both partners. Purity in the marriage bed is not a standard enforced exclusively on one gender; it is a mutual obligation rooted in respect for God's institution.

✓Divine Judgment
The writer of Hebrews gives a sobering warning: "...for God will judge the adulterer and all the s*xually immoral." Sin does not wear a disguise before God, nor does it carry a different weight depending on who commits it. Society may try to excuse infidelity through ancient double standards or modern rationalizations, but divine judgment looks past human bias. God holds both men and women to the exact same standard of holiness and faithfulness.

✓The Call to True Honor
To honor marriage means to protect it fiercely from selfishness, deceit, and betrayal. When anyone—husband or wife—believes they are exempt from the boundaries of faithfulness, they are not only breaking trust with their spouse, but they are also stepping outside of God’s protective covering. True biblical leadership and love require a man to model the very purity, integrity, and fidelity that he expects from his wife.
