We are incredibly proud of you for your outstanding service at the altar and for recently graduating with your strands and junior high. 🎓🎉 Your dedication and commitment to your faith and education have been remarkable. Balancing the discipline of serving at Mass with the demands of academic life is no small feat, and you’ve done it with grace, humility, and excellence.

As you step into this new chapter, may you continue to carry the same spirit of reverence and service wherever God leads you. Keep shining your light—both in the Church and in the world. ✨

In the stillness of the night, we prayed as one. 🕯️

The PYCC Manticao successfully led the Good Friday Taizé Prayer, bringing together different ministries and parishioners of San Antonio de Padua in a moment of silence, reflection, and deep encounter with God.

With the guidance and support of our Parish Priest, Fr. RJ Deloso, the night became a sacred space of light in the midst of darkness—reminding us that even in suffering, there is hope.

Sa katahimikan, naramdaman ang presensya ng Diyos. Sa pag-ampo, nagkahiusa ang tanan.

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝟑 || 𝐁𝐈𝐘𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐎 (𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚)

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

After the parishoners partook on the Body of Christ at Communion, the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 followed. This has been a tradition every Good Friday that reenacts the Passion and Death of Jesus 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐲.

Because of this, life-sized images of the 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐨 (𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒏 𝑮𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒏), the 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐚 (𝑺𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓) and the 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐨.

This makes the faithful to 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 offering a time for deep personal reflection, penance, and commemoration of his sacrifice for humanity.

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝟐 || 𝐁𝐈𝐘𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐎 (𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚)

𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬

Since the celebration highlights the Cross' importance, the Veneration of the Cross followed started by the declaration of our Priest: "𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐫𝐮𝐬, 𝐃𝐢𝐧𝐡𝐢 𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐛𝐨𝐬 𝐧𝐢 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧" (𝑩𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔, 𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅) and the faithful responds "𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐢 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐨 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐨" (𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒆, 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒓𝒆) while slowly unveiling the cross walking from the entrance up to the foot of the altar.

We show reverence to the Cross to 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭'𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡. Through this, we reflect on the Passion as a physical expression of love, gratitude, and faith.

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝟏 || 𝐁𝐈𝐘𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐎 (𝑮𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚)

Activities for Good Friday started with complete silence as 𝐰𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝'𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬. At this moment, we experience the grief of the Church over Jesus' crucifixion reflected by the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐫. The Liturgy of the Word then followed where the readings highlighted the 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐇𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭.

The power and importance of our Cross was also highlighted since this was what it makes us Christian and most especially, Catholic. While in the past, the Cross is considered as a tool for killing, nowadays, 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐲𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐢𝐭. Like what St. Paul declared to his letter on the Book of Galatians:
