"you should have strike 5 or 6 times that way you could've strike Syria until it is destroyed"
That was Prophet Elisha's angry remark on King Joash when he saw him strike the ground 3 times and then stopped...
But why was prophet Elisha angry? Ganito kasi un🥰... When Prophet Elisha was sick, king Joash visited him, the prophet then instructed the king to take a bow and arrow and to open the window facing the direction of Syria, after that he told him to take in position and shoot at that direction. The king did so and then prophet Elisha declared that he (the king) is the arrow that God will use to destroy Syria... wow what a prophecy, what a responsibility... Then afterwards, prophet Elisha told him to take the bow and arrow again and strike the ground. King Joash obeyed and struck the ground three times and then stopped... Un ang ikinagalit ni Elisha, kasi if the King really believed, fully believed without a doubt in what the prophet has told him wouldn't he have striken the ground as many as he can making sure the job is done?
Kaya ang nangyari, 3 times lang na nanalo c King Joash against Syria dahil un ang sinabi ni Elisha bago siya namatay...
What kind of Syria ba ang kinakaharap natin ngayon? Imagine yourself as King Joash and the prophet telling you that you are the arrow that God has chosen to defeat that current Syria your family may be facing, or your ministry may be experiencing, or the situations you may be encountering, how many times would you strike the ground? Imagine God giving you the weapon to deal with those situations, how many times would you strike?
Minsan akala natin sapat na ang ginagawa natin, pero malayo pa pala tayo sa tagumpay. Minsan we are impatient kasi bakit walang nangyayari kahit ilang beses mo nang ipinag-pray, pina prayer request mo pa and nag fast ka pa and yet parang wala pa ring nangyayari. Minsan kapag wala taung nakikita na resulta tumitigil na tau, nasaan na ang endurance doon, nasaan na ang pray without ceasing doon, nasaan na ang do things joyfully for the Lord?
Strike more than what you thought is enough, kasi minsan kailangan nating doblehin triplihin o kahit ilang beses pa yan, para maka push through tau or para maka breakthrough tayo sa anumang kinakaharap natin...
Think of Daniel, kung nag give up si Daniel dahil 3 weeks na siyang nag pprayer and fasting e wala pang resulta baka hindi niya nakamit ang kasagutan sa mga dasal niya... Anong sinabi nung anghel sa kanya?
"Since the 1st day that you have humbled yourself before God your words were heard and I have come because of your words"...
Don't give up on prayer, don't give up on what you are doing kasi kahit man sa pakiramdam natin e walang nangyayari nakikita tayo ng Diyos at naririnig Niya tayo... We just have to keep praying, don't give up, don't lose hope kahit man pakiramdam natin e walang nangyayari...
Pero bakit nga ba natagalan bago nakarating ang anghel? Sabi sa next verse, "the prince of Persia withstood me for 21 days, and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me"... Kung tumigil si Daniel sa kanyang ginagawa baka hindi nakarating ung anghel, that is the power of prayer... Minsan we have to fight for what we are praying for, we have to exert more effort and pour our hearts more into prayer kasi baka may mga hindrances and obstacles kaya hindi tau nakakapag breakthrough... Strike more than 3 times, strike as many as you can and as long as you can, until you destroy those hindrances, until you overcome those obstacles- untill you totally destroy that Syria that you are facing right now... Be like Daniel na hindi nag give up, huwag tularan c King Joash na tumigil agad sa pangatlong pagpana niya...
You have the weapon within you to destroy any obstacles, any hindrances or any struggles in your life and in the life of those around you... Kaya huwag kang mag-alinlangang gamitin iyon, we have the weapon of our warfare, anong sabi sa 2 Corinthians 10:4? "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds"... MIGHTY IN GOD FOR PULLING DOWN STRONGHOLDS... Kaya huwag mag alinlangan, be strong, be courageous, kasi the weapon that God has given us is mighty...
