In February 2009, a group of seven young professionals and church youth members first visited Anda in Pangasinan. Five members of that same team visited San Jose del Monte, Bulacan in April of that same year. It was then initially nicknamed GoNaMi, which is a mixed portmanteau of English and Tagalog words 'Go na Me' or 'I go now'. GoNaMi is formally known at that time as God's New Ark Missions Tea
m. Helping churches and doing small missions were at heart of the team core members. Dave Madayag, this GoNaMi team later became as WenestDay and formed a ministry that will seriously advance the God-given conviction to a main contributing factor to the evangelization effort done by the Body of Christ. In December 03, 2014, it is now formally known and registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission as Neo Arc Ministries, Inc. The challenge in naming a ministry is to take into full consideration that Jesus himself is the New Ark, as the ark of our salvation. Certain S.E.C issues prohibited the registration of the same name, may it be exactly similar or sounding similar, it was registered in a different name. The identity of the ministry came from that strongly founded conviction and in honor to the late Pastor Edwin Casaña, a close friend of Pastor Dave, who displayed passion in the mission. With a little play on words, Pastor Dave tried to register if Neo Arc is available; To which the S.E.C responded positively, thus, Neo Arc Ministries Inc. Neo is a greek word which translates to 'new' while Arc meant as 'beginning'. Neo Arc fully translates to New Beginning, of which is no coincidence that it is only Jesus as the New Ark of our Salvation who can give us a New Beginning! Hence, we praise God for providing us this name. It was never an accident, it was providential and very much edifying seeing that the very mission and vision of this ministry will be understood from the meaning of the name.
