Led by CBCP President and Archbishop of Lipa Gilbert Garcera, DD, SIMBAKalusugan was launched @ the Parish and National Shrine of Padre Pio, Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

Kaakibat ng pananalig at pananalangin para sa kagalingan ay ang pagpapakonsulta at pagsunod sa payo ng mga dalubhasa sa pangkalusugan. Ito ang diwa ng pagtutulungang ipinakita ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines – Episcopal Commission on Health Care (CBCP-ECHC), Archdiocese of Lipa, at National Shrine and Parish of St. Padre Pio, katuwang ang DOH CHD CALABARZON, Sto.Tomas LGU, at iba pang Partners, sa matagumpay na paglulunsad ng programang SimbaKalusugan sa National Shrine of St. Padre Pio, Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
Agad na naibigay at nailapit sa mga mamamayan ng Sto. Tomas, Batangas ang mahahalagang serbisyong medikal pagkatapos ng banal na misa. Kabilang dito ang mga sumusunod:

ECHC and INTERNATIONAL CANDLELIGHT MEMORIAL

ECHC continue their advocacy to reduce stigma and humanized health services through the memorial celebrations. The IACM plays a crucial role in breaking down barriers of stigma and discrimination. By sharing stories and fostering understanding, it promotes compassion and encourages open conversations about HIV. It stands as a platform for global solidarity, offering hope to new generations and reminding those living with HIV that they are not alone. The event also acknowledges and expresses gratitude towards caregivers, health workers, researchers, advocates, friends, and family members who have supported people living with HIV.
The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial is marked by various activities organized by community-based organizations across many countries.

SIMBAKALUSUGAN TALIM ISLAND | 9 MAY 2026
ECHC together with the Diocese of Antipolo 9health. are Commission) and the Department of Health R4a and the LG unit of Binangonan with other health partners staged the SIMBAKalusugan in Talim island, Rizal.
Located in Laguna De bay, and considered as the largest island in a bay in the Philippines, more than 350 residents of Brgy Janosa received health services.

Among the services provided were medical consultations, vital signs assessment, tuberculosis screening through chest X-ray, electrocardiogram (ECG), dental services including tooth extraction, oral prophylaxis, and fluoride varnish application, mental health counseling, HIV testing and counseling, nutrition services, and the distribution of free medicines.

Beyond the delivery of medical assistance, the Simbakalusugan program highlights the growing collaboration among government agencies, faith-based organizations, healthcare workers, and local communities in advancing inclusive and community-centered healthcare services.
