DECLARATION OF FAITH
The CiM believes...
1. The Bible, composed of the 39 Old Testament and 27 New Testament books, is the inspired
Word of God, and is inerrant and is infallible from the original writings. Thus, the final authority in conduct, in doctrine, and in faith.
2. The one and true God who eternally exists in three co-equal and distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3. Jesus Christ is both man and God who lived in flesh and did not sin. Jesus Christ was bodily conceived through virgin birth, died, was resurrected, and will come again to establish His kingdom.
4. The Holy Spirit is God and divinely possesses the attributes and characters of God. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sins, sanctifies the believers, and empowers the believers for the ministry.
5. The human race is created in the image of God but because of sin became naturally fallen and cannot save oneself through one’s effort.
6. The one true church of the Lord Jesus Christ is composed of all true believers from different localities who recognize Christ as the head and are committed to follow Him.
7. Salvation is a free gift of God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ . Salvation of man and woman includes the redemption from the curses of sins, renewal of new nature, and restoration to God’s eternal fellowship of man.
8. The church is to fulfill the Great Commission of discipling all nations to Jesus, the Great Commandment of loving God and loving people, and the Great Mandate to be God’s stewards of His creations.
9. The saved will be resurrected to life and that the lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
