Born in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, Pastor Ather is married to Genly O. Ongos, a Licensed Teacher and Bible Woman, and they are blessed with three wonderful children.

With over 20 years of pastoral ministry experience and a background in Theology and Information Technology, he currently serves as ๐๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐†๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ž ๐†๐จ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐ฅ ๐‚๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐œ๐ก ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐‚๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ ๐ญ๐š๐ฌ, ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐š๐ง. Have you ever noticed how a room can look perfectly clean until sunlight streams through the window? Suddenly, tiny dust particles become visible, floating everywhere. The dust was always there we just couldn't see it.

Our lives can be like that too.

We often hide our mistakes, struggles, insecurities, and past experiences behind carefully built walls. We try to appear okay, hoping no one notices the parts of us we're not proud of. But when Jesusโ€”the Light of the worldโ€”shines into our hearts, He reveals what has been hidden.

At first, that can feel uncomfortable. Nobody likes having their flaws exposed. Yet God's purpose isn't to shame us; it's to transform us.

Hebrews 4:13 reminds us that nothing is hidden from God's sight. He already sees every dusty corner of our lives. The beautiful part is that He doesn't walk away when He finds the mess. Instead, He stays. He forgives. He restores. He patiently molds us into who He created us to be.

Lemons are sour on their own. No one really enjoys biting into them straight. But in the right handsโ€”with water, sugar, and careโ€”they become something refreshing. Something that can actually bring joy.

That's what God does with us.

He doesn't waste seasons. He doesn't ignore pain. Instead, He works in it. He turns what feels bitter into something that can refresh your faith, your character, and even other people around you.

What looks like a setback might actually be a setup for something deeper in you.

More than just giving us the "feels", entertainment allows us to see our hopes and fears played out on screen. We can feel empathy for the characters in a show when we see them go through the same struggles we have. Entertainment helps us feel that we're not alone, and gives us a release for our emotions.
