📖 Gospel Reading: Matthew 16:13–23

In today’s Gospel, Peter boldly declares Jesus as the Messiah—and Jesus calls him “blessed.” But moments later, when Peter rejects the idea of Jesus’ suffering, he is harshly corrected: “Get behind me, Satan!”This Gospel reminds us how quickly we can move from faith to fear when God’s plan doesn’t match our expectations. Jesus doesn’t want us to follow Him only in moments of glory, but also through the cross.
