CBCP Episcopal Commission for the Cultural Heritage of the Church 1. Shall promote the cultural heritage of the church as an invaluable aid to evangelization and catechesis.

2.

Shall foment research on and understanding of the ecclesiastical cultural heritage.

3. Shall serve as a consultative body on the scientific conservation of cultural ecclesiastical goods.

4. Shall initiate and sustain collaboration between the committee and similar government and/or civic agencies involve in the care, conservation and appreciation of the cultural heritage of the Church.

5. Shall act as official liaison with the Pontifical Commission for the cultural heritage in the Apostolic See.

6. Shall undertake projects in different dioceses/prelatures upon invitation or authorization of and collaboration with the local Ordinances concerned.

We gather once more to reflect, share, and strengthen our mission of safeguarding the Church’s living heritage. ✨

Join us at the 14th Biennial National Convention of Church Cultural Heritage Workers, March 2–5, 2026, in Cagayan de Oro City, as we journey together under the theme “Church Heritage Beyond the Jubilee Year of Hope.”

This national gathering brings together bishops’ and priest collaborators, cultural heritage workers, educators, archivists, museum professionals, historians, and advocates committed to the preservation, protection, and promotion of the Church’s rich cultural patrimony. Through meaningful conversations and expert-led sessions, we continue the work of caring for heritage that speaks to faith, memory, and hope across generations.
