ARRIVAL OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT FATHERS IN THE PHILIPPINES

August 15, 1957 marks a historic moment in the life of Santa Cruz Parish and the Church in the Philippines—the arrival of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament (SSS) at the invitation of Rufino Cardinal Santos, then Archbishop of Manila.

For 69 years, the Blessed Sacrament Fathers have faithfully served the people of Santa Cruz, promoting Eucharistic spirituality, Eucharistic worship, perpetual adoration, and devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.

Join us in thanksgiving as we commemorate this grace-filled milestone and the transfer of the administration of Santa Cruz Church to the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament.

The Basilica Minor de Nuestra Señora del Pilar warmly invites everyone to celebrate the Feast of St. Ezekiel Moreno, Patron of Cancer Patients and the 41st Parish Priest of Santa Cruz Church, Manila.

On this special day, we entrust to the Lord all who are battling cancer, serious illnesses, and the burdens of old age, through the loving intercession of St. Ezekiel Moreno.

✨ A Day of Healing Through the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick

The faithful—especially cancer patients, those suffering from serious illnesses, and the elderly—are invited to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, which will be administered after every Mass at the Chapel of the Relics.
