The session was opened and presided by Rev. Father Henry Min, O.P., Spiritual Adviser of FCCY Binondo Chapter and attended by delegates to the upcoming FCCY National Convention at Cebu City on May 24 to 28, 2026.

The gifts of war are lost of life, unimaginable grief, orphaned children, parents outliving their children and widowed spouses.

Left to itself, war will continue to dictate the devastation of our free market for instant gain.

On the other hand, the gifts of faith play an important role to stop these senseless wars happening around us, whether inside our home, within the corners of the streets, or within the global market.

By practicing mercy, compassion, justice and peace we translate these gifts of faith into a more tangible and more practical means.

But make no mistake our mercy, compassion, justice and peace should not be mistaken as a tolerance and blank check for war clothed in religion.

Before we end, let us recall the teaching of our Pope Leo XIV that peace is a personal and internal journey, stating, "Peace is built in the heart and from the heart, by eliminating pride and vindictiveness and carefully choosing our words."

Thank you for bringing the best from us even when we have self-doubt, cheering us up when we are down and inspiring us to take our mat and walk again each time we stumbled.

Rest assured of our prayers and love, each and everyday, most especially today.
