𝐕𝐅𝐂𝐂 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬: 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭!

After years of being apart, the Vincentian Family Coordinating Council (VFCC) joyfully gathered once again for its General Assembly at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish and Daughters of Charity Provincial House last July 18, 2026.

The event began with a Eucharistic Celebration, marking the launch of the 5-𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙇𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 (𝙊𝙇𝙈𝙈𝙉𝙎𝙋). Delegates were also renewed in the Council's mission and introduced to De Paul CAREs, a Vincentian initiative dedicated to providing decent housing for people experiencing homelessness—affirming that 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙖 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚.

𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

With the theme "𝙋𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙖 𝘿𝙞𝙮𝙤𝙨, 𝙋𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙆𝙖𝙥𝙬𝙖," the Frassati Day Celebration was held at the Manila Cathedral on July 4, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

As the patron of Vincentian youth, 𝗦𝘁. 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶'𝘀 vibrant faith and love for the poor came alive as the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul participated in the youth conference, witnessed the solemn enthronement of his relic, and celebrated the Holy Mass with Cardinal Advincula.

May his life continue to inspire us to live the Gospel with courage, serve with humility, and always strive 𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤 𝙡'𝘼𝙡𝙩𝙤—toward the heights!

Today, we celebrate the life and stories of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati, whose inspiritaitonal faith, spirit, and compassionate service to the youth continue to inspire the people around the word.

Through his love for God, dedication to the poor, and courage to live the Gospel reminds us that holiness is found in serving others with humility and hope

May his example encourage us to persevere in faith, embrace charity with joy, and walk courageously toward Christ each day.

Today, we join the Universal Church and our brothers and sisters in the Society of St. Vincent de Paul worldwide, in celebrating the 213th Birth Anniversary of our patron, Blessed Frederick Ozanam and the 193rd Founding Anniversary of our organization. Inspired by our patron, we continue "to serve in hope."

""𝐋𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠."

Lent has always been a season I’m familiar with, pero dati, hindi ko talaga naiintindihan ang ibig sabihin nito. Parang routine lang dati and fasting on certain days, hearing Pabasa sa paligid, at nakikita ang ibang tao mas seryoso sa panalangin at reflection. Hindi ko lagi napapansin kung paano ko talaga ini-aapply sa sarili ko.

Ngayon, Lent feels more personal. It reminds me of Christ’s sacrifice and how He gave everything for us. It’s a time to slow down, think about my actions, at maging mas mindful sa pakikitungo ko sa iba. It also reminds me to stay connected with God, kahit sa simpleng paraan lang, like taking a few minutes to pray and ask for peace and not just for myself, but for all the people I love and for everyone around the world.

Lent isn’t about doing everything perfectly o paggawa ng malaking sakripisyo. Even small efforts, like being more patient, controlling my words, o pagiging mas mabait kahit sa simpleng bagay, already matter. Hindi ako perfect at minsan nakakalimot din ako, pero that’s what makes it real. Lent is about trying, reflecting, at slowly growing— becoming a better person and getting a little closer to God each day, while remembering Christ’s ultimate sacrifice and praying for peace and love to surround everyone.

Many of us aspire to do pious acts and penance this Lent—especially, fasting, prayer, and almsgiving. Yet in reality, many of us still stumble and fail.

Despite that, let's not be discouraged for Lent is never about perfection. Rather, it's a personal journey that requires perseverance as we seek God.

Our frailties never disqualify us; instead, they reveal just how much we need to cooperate with His grace, for we cannot always rely on our own strength.
