NEW VESTMENTS | A RETURN TO ROSE, GOLD, AND TRADITION.
A new chapter is beautifully unveiled for the beloved Retablo Image of Santa Rosa de Lima of Daanbantayan.
For the 2026–2027 Fiesta Year, Santa Rosa is now adorned in a newly commissioned set of vestments, generously donated by Liza V. Mondigo and Family, featuring a design heavily inspired by the 2024 Vestments of the Original Peruvian Image of Santa Rosa de Lima in Lima, Peru—bringing a beautiful connection between the devotion of Santa Rosa in her homeland and her beloved image here in Daanbantayan.
And this year’s vestment reveal carries an even more meaningful story.
After the devastating September 30, 2025 earthquake, the beloved image of the Santo Niño that was used to be carried by the same Retablo Image was found in a Kaplag—a discovery that brought renewed hope amid the ruins of the historic Shrine. After undergoing restoration and retouches at the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu, the Santo Niño Jesus of Santa Rosa de Lima has finally returned to the loving arms of Santa Rosa de Lima, just in time for the celebrations of the 168th Fiesta Celebration in Honor of Santa Rosa de Lima.
From the ruins, we rise.
From what was lost, we recover.
And through faith, devotion, and the generosity of her devotees, Maanyag Nga Rosa continues to shine.
VIVA SANTA ROSA DE LIMA!
VIVA EL NIÑO JESUS!
May these new vestments be a reminder that even after great trials, beauty, tradition, and devotion can bloom once more.
